Henry Posner III
Henry Posner III is transport executive and investor working in the field of rail transport. Posner received a bachelor degree in Civil engineering from Princeton University in 1977, and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Personal life Posner's grandfather Henry Posner Sr. was born in Warsaw, Poland and emigrated to the United States in c.1905, aged seventeen. Posner's parents Henry Posner Jr. and Helen MacMurdo Posner were married in 1953. , Posner III continued to live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1856 in Chicago (the United States' major railroad hub) and is published monthly by Simmons-Boardman Publishing Corporation. Operation Lifesaver
Operation Lifesaver is the largest rail safety organization in the United States. It was founded by the Union Pacific Railroad in the early 1970s. History In 1972, the Idaho State Highway Patrol, then-Governor Cecil Andrus and the Union Pacific Railroad mounted campaign to promote "Stop, Look and Listen" safety at highway-rail grade crossings. The initial teams spoke to civic groups, school groups, school bus and truck drivers. Idaho experienced a 43% reduction in fatalities that first year. Operation Lifesaver has trained instructors and authorized volunteer speakers who provide free rail safety education programs across the U.S. and abroad. They give free presentations to school groups, driver education classes, community members, professional drivers, law enforcement officers, and emergency responders. Hannover Messe/Laatzen Station
Hannover Messe/Laatzen station is a Category 4 station in the German town of Laatzen near the Hanover fairground (german: Messegelände Hannover). It is normally served only by the Hanover S-Bahn. During major events such as CeBIT and Hanover Messe, all passing regional and long distance trains stop at the station. The station opened in 2000, replacing the old Messe station, which was located on a spur line in the fairgrounds. History The station was built for Expo 2000. Frankfurt (Oder) Station
The Frankfurt (Oder) station is the main passenger station in Frankfurt (Oder). It is one of the most important railway stations in the German state of Brandenburg. It is served by regional and long-distance services and since 1945 it has been a border station for transport to and from Poland. The station has been substantially rebuilt several times. Vivarail D-Train
The Vivarail D-Train is a family of multiple units remanufactured by Vivarail for the British rail network. They are converted from London Underground D78 Stock, originally manufactured between 1978 and 1981 by Metro-Cammell. Two versions have been produced: the Class 230 diesel electric multiple unit and the Class 484 electric multiple unit. History In 2015, Vivarail purchased 226 London Underground D78 Stock carriages with the aim of converting them to multiple units.
