Énrí Ó Muirgheasa
Énrí Ó Muirgheasa (Henry Morris) (14 January 1874 – 13 August 1945), was an Irish civil servant, Irish language scholar, folklore collector, historian and writer. Early life and family Ó Muirgheasa was born in Cashlan East, Lisdoonan, Donaghmoyne, County Monaghan on 14 January 1874. He was a son of Lúcas Ó Muirgheasa, a farmer, and Máire Nic Ward. He attended Lisdoonan school but learned to read and write Irish from his granduncle, Proinsias Ó Conghaile. Ó Muirgheasa married harpist and fellow teacher, Eibhlín Ní Raghallaigh (Helen O'Reilley) of Dundalk in 1906. Their son, Colum, was born and died in 1907. Eibhlín died in 1908. In 1912, he remarried to Máire Woods from County Galway. Ó Muirgheasa died on 13 August 1945 in Strabane. Career He was appointed monitor at Lisdoonan school in 1888, where he established the first Monaghan branch of the Gaelic League. Henry Morris (13 November 1889 – 14 December 1961) is known primarily as the founder of village colleges. He was the Chief Education Officer for Cambridgeshire for over thirty years, taking up the post in 1922 during a time of depression in the United Kingdom following the First World War. Early life Morris was born in Southport in Lancashire on 13 November 1889. At the age of fourteen he began work as an office boy at ''The Southport Visiter'', later becoming a reporter. In 1910 he moved to St David's University College, Lampeter to read for a degree in theology, and in 1912 moved to Exeter College, Oxford. At the outbreak of the First World War he volunteered for army service, and became an officer in the RASC. Henry Morris (footballer)
Henry Miller Morris (17 December 1919 – 13 March 1993) was a Scottish footballer who played for East Fife, Dundee United and the Scotland national team as a centre forward. Morris, a Dundonian, joined East Fife from Dundee Violet in 1946, having previously played with another junior Dundee side, Lochee Central, during the War. He scored 60 goals during the 1947–48 League campaign as East Fife won the Second Division title. That same season he also helped his side claim the League Cup, the first time it had been won by a side out with the top flight. He won a further League cup with East Fife in 1950 before moving to Dundee United in 1953, where he retired. Morris scored a hat-trick in his only Scotland cap, an 8–2 win over Ireland in October 1949. Henry Morris (born 1982) is an English satirist and writer who came to prominence via his Twitter account, which parodies the Conservative party. With close to 200,000 followers, Morris has stated: “The one objective is to destroy the Tories; amplify their ludicrous behaviour and turn it into comedy by making it grotesque.” Launched anonymously in 2019, the account was originally called Mark ne Francois pas, sending up Conservative MP Mark Francois. The name later changed to Michael Govern Ready, a reference to Michael Gove and Boris Johnson’s claim there was an oven-ready Brexit deal, before it became The Secret Tory. His writing style has covered various formats, including mocked up WhatsApp Group messages between members of the cabinet, reimagining the actions of government figures in the style of Swift and Chaucer, and creating news stories under the guise of the Papua New Guinea Courier's UK correspondent.
