Henry Frederick Merrett (29 June 1886 – 13 February 1954) was an Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Allendale (aka Allandale) is a town in Victoria, Australia, located north-east of Creswick, in the Shire of Hepburn. At the , Allendale and the surrounding area had a population of 166. The town began as a mining settlement around the Berry Leads mining area. It had a peak population of about 1,500. Allendale once had ten hotels, railway station, post office, bakery, and shops, all of which have closed. The small boarding school located in Leishman Street was sold in 2005. Lyndhurst, Victoria
Lyndhurst is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 36 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Cities of Casey and Greater Dandenong local government areas. Lyndhurst recorded a population of 8,926 at the 2021 census. Lyndhurst Post Office opened on 1 January 1867 and closed in 1976. After the Bracks government's decisions to abandon plans for a toxic waste dump near Mildura, the continued use of the existing Lyndhurst facility was part of the replacement plan. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. 1911 VFL Season
The 1911 VFL season was the 15th season of the Victorian Football League (VFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Victoria. The season featured ten clubs, ran from 29 April until 23 September, and comprised an 18-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top four clubs. The season was the beginning of the league's professional era, with clubs permitted for the first time to pay players beyond the reimbursement of expenses. The premiership was won by the Essendon Football Club for the third time, after it defeated by six points in the 1911 VFL Grand Final.
