Henry Cousins
Henry Cousins (February 7, 1827 – October 25, 1888) was an American lawyer and politician. Cousins was born in Mayville, New York, where he received his education. He moved to Elyria, Ohio, and studied law. In 1848, Cousins was admitted to the Ohio bar. In 1850, Cousins moved to East Troy, Wisconsin, and continued to practice law. He moved to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, in 1866. In 1867, Cousins, a Republican, was elected district attorney for Eau Claire County, Wisconsin. Cousins served in the Wisconsin Assembly The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Mayville, New York
Mayville is a village in Chautauqua County, New York, United States. The population was 1,477 at the 2020 census, 13.7% less than in the 2010 census. Mayville is in the town of Chautauqua and is the county seat of Chautauqua County. The village and town offices share a building on Main Street, directly across from the Chautauqua County courthouse. History The Holland Land Company anticipated establishing a village located at the eastern end of the Old Portage Road between Lake Erie and Chautauqua Lake. Wisconsin Assembly
The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Representatives are elected for two-year terms, elected during the fall elections. If a vacancy occurs in an Assembly seat between elections, it may be filled only by a special election. The Wisconsin Constitution limits the size of the State Assembly to between 54 and 100 members inclusive. Since 1973, the state has been divided into 99 Assembly districts apportioned amongst the state based on population as determined by the decennial census, for a total of 99 representatives.
