	Henry Bull (theologian) Henry Bull (died 1577) was an English Protestant theological writer. He is now remembered as an ally of John Foxe in documenting the Marian exiles and recent religious history. Life A native of Warwickshire, Bull was a demy of Magdalen College, Oxford, in 1535, and full fellow and B.A. in 1540. He was a prominent reformer in the college, in a group that included Thomas Cooper, Robert Crowley and John Foxe. He became rector of Courtenhall in early 1553. When Mary I of England came to the throne later in 1553, Bull, with the help of Thomas Bentham, snatched a censer from the hand of the officiating priest and was expelled from Magdalen. A visitation of the college was held and, on 23 October 1553, the visitors deprived Bull of his fellowship. Anthony Wood says that he went into exile, which cannot be documented, but Strype states that he lived quietly at home as a Protestant. 	Henry Bull (MP) Henry Bull (1630 – 28 January 1692) was an English lawyer and politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1660 and 1692. Bull was the eldest surviving son of William Bull, barrister of Shapwick, Somerset and his wife Jane Southworth, daughter of Henry Southworth, merchant of London and Wells. He was baptised on 8 October 1630. He was admitted at Inner Temple in 1651 and called to the bar in 1658. In April 1660, Bull was elected Member of Parliament for Wells in the Convention Parliament. He succeeded his father in 1676 and was appointed High Sheriff of Somerset for 1683–84. He was elected MP for Milborne Port for the Second Exclusion Parliament in 1679 and again in 1681 and 1685. 	Henry Bull (settler) Lieutenant Henry Bull (1799) was an early settler in the Swan River Colony. He entered the Royal Navy in December 1813, and served in the West Indies and South America. He retired as a Lieutenant in 1829, and the following year he arrived in Western Australia. He took up land grants on the Canning River in the area now known as Bull Creek; and he was one of the pioneer settlers of the Upper Swan district, with land in what is now the suburb of Bullsbrook. Bull was the local magistrate of the Upper Swan district for many years. He and George Fletcher Moore are credited with the establishment and maintenance of friendly relations with the indigenous people of the area. In April 1835, Bull accompanied Moore on an expedition to the north of the Swan River. 	Henry Bull (speaker) Henry Bull (23 November 1687 – 24 December 1774) was a colonial attorney and politician in Rhode Island. Early life Bull was born on 23 November 1687 in Newport in the Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. He was a son of Henry Bull (1658–1691) and Ann ( Cole) Bull, who lived in Narragansett. After his parents death, Henry and his siblings were left in the care of his aunt Mary (wife of James Coggeshall). Among his siblings were Ephraim Bull and Ann Bull. His paternal grandfather was Jireh Bull (son of Henry Bull, Governor of Rhode Island from 1685 to 1686 and again in 1690). His uncle, Jireh Bull, married Godsgift Arnold (the daughter of Gov. Benedict Arnold). His maternal grandparents were John Cole of Kingston and Susanna ( Hutchinson) Cole (a daughter of William and Anne Hutchinson). picture info	Henrik Johan Bull Henrik Johan Bull (13 October 18441 June 1930) was a Norwegian businessman and whaler. Henry Bull was one of the pioneers in the exploration of Antarctica. Biography Henrik Johan Bull was born at Stokke in Vestfold County, Norway. He attended school in Tønsberg and worked for several years as a businessman in Tønsberg. During the late 1880s, he traveled to Melbourne, Australia, where he was associated with a company in shipping and trade. In 1893, Norwegian whaling and shipping magnate Svend Foyn agreed to financially support an Antarctica expedition led by Henrik Bull in search of the elusive Right whale. Svend Foyn was a businessman who patented the grenade-harpoon gun which was to be used for whaling. The ship provided by Svend Foyn was the ''Antarctic'', a three masts barque equipped with a steam engine.
