Henry Baum
Henry Baum (born June 29, 1972) is an American writer, blogger and musician and is considered part of the Rebel Inc. writing movement. Career Baum is the author of five novels and several published short stories and prose. His book ''Oscar Caliber Gun'' (Later called ''The Golden Calf'') has been translated into French. He has also published work with ''Identity Theory'', ''Storyglossia'', ''Scarecrow'', ''Dogmatika'', ''Purple prose'', '' 3:AM Magazine'', and ''Les Episodes''. His book, ''The American Book Of The Dead'' was described by the widow of Philip K Dick, Tessa Dick, "If you read Lolita or A Clockwork Orange without drop-kicking the book out into the garden on a rainy day, this novel is for you.” He has published with Canongate and Cloverfield Press. Alan Moore (born 18 November 1953) is an English author known primarily for his work in comic books including ''Watchmen'', ''V for Vendetta'', ''The Ballad of Halo Jones'', ''Swamp Thing'', ''Batman:'' ''The Killing Joke'', and ''From Hell''. He is widely recognised among his peers and critics as one of the best comic book writers in the English language. Carny (1980 Film)
''Carny'' is a 1980 American drama film about a waitress who joins a traveling carnival. It stars Gary Busey, Jodie Foster, and Robbie Robertson. It also includes an early role for Fred Ward. Plot Frankie and Patch are friends who work for the Great American Carnival, a small-time carnival that tours the South. Frankie does an act as The Mighty Bozo, a character who sits in a dunk tank insulting the crowd, while Patch takes the money and runs the game. Patch is also the show's "adjuster," hence his carny name, working with the owner of the carnival, Heavy St. John, negotiating deals with local officials and representatives of the local underworld to keep the show open. Antoine Bédard (born ''c.'' 1978) is a Canadian electronic musician, best known for his recordings under the stage name Montag. Originally from Montreal, he sings in both French and English, and is currently residing in Montreal again, after a stint in Vancouver, British Columbia. He recently completed a tour with The One AM Radio and Lymbyc Systym. Sometimes referred to as a "laptop musician", he received a grant from the Quebec Arts Council to record and catalogue orchestra instruments. Semi-Gloss was an alternative pop/rock band from the East Village in New York City. Band history The band formed in the early 1990s between Jordy Mokriski and Verena Wiesendanger after Mokriski spent a year in Los Angeles writing songs. When he returned to New York City, he and Wiesendanger recorded a four-track demo. The band gained a small following, performing regularly on the Lower East Side at Luna Lounge, and began opening for artists such as Cat Power and Blonde Redhead. They appeared on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic in 1999. They contributed their single "The Sunburn Song" to the Nickelodeon television series ''The Adventures of Pete & Pete''. Throughout the career of the band, it had been difficult to secure a drummer.
