''Henry Aldrich's Little Secret'' is a 1944 American comedy film directed by Hugh Bennett and written by Val Burton and Aleen Leslie. The film stars Jimmy Lydon, Charles Smith, John Litel, Olive Blakeney, Tina Thayer and Ann Doran. The film was released on June 10, 1944, by Paramount Pictures. Plot Henry Aldrich (Jimmy Lydon) and Basil 'Dizzy' Stevens (Charles Smith) run a baby sitting service, but quickly run into problems. When a mother of a 10 month old baby exits town her husband is accused of a crime he didn't commit, sans baby, Aldrich and Stevens are left holding the bag, and the baby. Aleen Leslie
Aleen Leslie (née Wetstein; February 5, 1908 – February 2, 2010) was a screenwriter, playwright, and novelist. She died in 2010, three days before her 102nd birthday. At that time, she was the oldest member of the Writers Guild of American-West. She is perhaps best known for the ''A Date with Judy'' media franchise. Leslie was also the author of the novels '' The Scent of the Roses'' and ''The Windfall'', and wrote various plays for the Pasadena Playhouse. Almira Sessions (September 16, 1888 – August 3, 1974) was an American character actress of stage, screen and television. Born in Washington, D.C., her career took her through all the acting mediums of the 20th century. She appeared in over 500 films and television shows. She worked into her 80s, finally retiring shortly before her death in 1974 in Los Angeles. Edward Frank Dunn (March 31, 1896 – May 5, 1951) was an American actor best known for his roles in comedy films, supporting many comedians such as Charley Chase (with whom he co-directed several short films), Charlie Chaplin, W.
