Henrik Landerholm
Carl Henrik Jacob Landerholm (born 10 August 1963) is a Swedish politician who has served as first National Security Advisor to the Government of Sweden since 2022. He is a member of the Moderate Party and has previously served as a Member of the Riksdag. Between 1998 and 2002 he was Chairman of the Defense Committee. Advisory Council On Foreign Affairs
The Advisory Council on Foreign Affairs ( sv, Utrikesnämnden) is a permanent council appointed by the Riksdag and led by the King. It operates as a consultational organ between the Riksdag and the Government regarding matters of Foreign Affairs. History and function The Advisory Council on Foreign Affairs was established in 1921 as a result to an amendment to the 1809 Instrument of Government. Due to the sensitive nature of the councils deliberations some parties have historically been excluded from the council. The formerly communist Left Party was excluded until 1994 after the fall of the Soviet Union. The Sweden Democrats were also excluded in their first Riksdag term between 2010 and 2014. The National Security Council of Sweden is the body under the Swedish government in which matters of national security are discussed and security cooperation between different departments organized. A number of other countries also have similar councils, many of these serving as inspiration for the decision to establish the Swedish National Security Council. Composition The National Security Council is chaired by the Prime Minister and consists of cabinet ministers. War Delegation
The War Delegation ( sv, krigsdelegationen, or ''KD'') is a standing committee of the Riksdag, with its functions enumerated in the Instrument of Government and the Riksdag Act, with the purpose of replacing the Riksdag as a whole whenever Sweden is at war or is otherwise exposed to a serious threat or crisis. The War Delegation is chaired by the Speaker of the Riksdag and has fifty members who are elected following each general election, for a total of 51 members. The Delegation has roughly the same powers as the Riksdag, but may not call snap elections or suspend ordinary elections.
