Ahmadu Bello University Zaria is a federal government research university in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. ABU was founded on 4 October 1962, as the pioneer university in Northern Nigeria. It was founded and named after the Sardauna of Sokoto, Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello, the first premier of Northern Nigeria. The university operates two campuses: Samaru (main) and Kongo in Zaria. Ahmed Tijani Mora
Ahmed Tijjani Mora ( OON) (born May 13, 1956) is a Nigerian pharmacist, academic, former Registrar and now Chairman of the Governing Council of Pharmacists Council of Nigeria. He is the National President, Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association. He was elected President of the Alumni Association in August 2015 at the Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the association. The assembly was attended by delegates from over 25 States. Prior to his election, he was the substantive Deputy National president of the association. He succeeded Princess Henrietta Ogan, the immediate past president of the association. He was the pioneer Director of Pharmaceutical Services in the Ministry of Health, Kaduna State and also the pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kaduna State University (KSU) since he joined the university in 2012.
