Sydney Entertainment Centre
Sydney Entertainment Centre (later known as Qantas Credit Union Arena) was a multi-purpose arena located in Haymarket, Sydney, Australia. It opened in May 1983, to replace Sydney Stadium, which had been demolished in 1970 to make way for the Eastern Suburbs railway line. The centre was owned by the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, which administered the neighbouring Darling Harbour area, and managed under a lease. It was one of Sydney's larger concert venues, licensed to accommodate over 13,000 people as a conventional theatre or 8,000 as a theatre-in-the-round. It was the largest permanent concert venue in Sydney until 1999, when the Sydney Super Dome opened at Sydney Olympic Park. A Reality Tour was a worldwide concert tour by David Bowie in support of the ''Reality'' album. The tour began on 7 October 2003 at the Forum Copenhagen, Denmark, continuing through Europe, North America, Asia, including a return to New Zealand and Australia for the first time since the 1987 Glass Spider Tour. At over 110 shows, the tour was the longest tour of Bowie's career. A heart attack in late June 2004 forced the cancellation of some dates near the end of the tour. The Try This Tour was the second concert tour by American recording artist P!nk. The tour was launched in support of her third studio album ''Try This'' (2003) and visited Europe and Australia. About the show The show itself was split into four acts, each representing her three albums and an acoustic act. For the first act, to support her album Can't Take Me Home, Pink sported a massive pink Mohican, a throwback to her pink-haired R&B ''Can't Take Me Home'' days. For the second act, to support ''Missundaztood'', she wore a long blond wig and a red leather jacket. For the acoustic act, she wore a long blue, red and white dress. For the fourth act, to support Try This, she lost the wigs and performed in a rock chick style get up. Michael Glenn Chugg (born 15 June 1947) is an Australian entrepreneur, businessman and concert tour promoter. As a promoter and manager he was a founder of Frontier Touring Company (1979–99) and Michael Chugg Entertainment (2000–present). The Licks Tour was a worldwide concert tour undertaken by the Rolling Stones during 2002 and 2003, in support of their 40th anniversary compilation album ''Forty Licks''. The tour grossed over $300 million, becoming the second highest grossing tour at that time, behind their own Voodoo Lounge Tour of 1994–1995. Background The itinerary continued the Rolling Stones' practice of mixing theatre, arena, and stadium venues.
