Helmi Hasan
Helmi Hasan (born 29 November 1979) is an Indonesian politician from the National Mandate Party who is the mayor of the city of Bengkulu. Early life Hasan was born in Lampung on 1979 as the youngest of six children, and he went to high school in East Jakarta. He studied economics at the University of Bengkulu, during which he was involved in the Muslim Students' Association, and he joined the National Mandate Party (PAN). Career By 2004, Hasan had been elected to Bengkulu's City Council. Within PAN, he became the secretary of the provincial office by 2005, and its chairman by 2010. He was further elected into Bengkulu's provincial DPRD following the 2009 legislative election. At the provincial body, he was a deputy speaker. In 2012, Hasan ran for Bengkulu's mayoral election with the support of PAN, Golkar, Gerindra, PNBK and Demokrat. Bengkulu ( Rejangese: ), formerly Bencoolen (Dutch: ''Benkoelen'') is the capital of the Indonesian province of Bengkulu. The city is the second largest city on the west coast of Sumatra Island after Padang. Previously this area was under the influence of the kingdom of Inderapura and the Sultanate of Banten. The city also became the exile of Sukarno during the period of 1939 - 1942. The Democratic Party ( id, Partai Demokrat) is a centre to centre-right political party in Indonesia. It was founded on 9 September 2001. The People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia ( id, Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat Republik Indonesia, MPR-RI) is the legislative branch in Politics of Indonesia, Indonesia's political system. Zulkifli Hasan (born 17 May 1962) is an Indonesian politician and businessman who is currently serving as Minister of Trade since 15 June 2022. Previously, he served as deputy speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) from 2019 until 2022. A member of the Islam-based National Mandate Party, he is also currently serving as the party's chairman since 2015. Additionally, he served as speaker of the MPR from 2014 to 2019 and was Minister of Environment and Forestry from 2009 until 2014. Rohidin Mersyah
Rohidin Mersyah (born 9 January 1970) is an Indonesian politician who has served as governor of Bengkulu since December 2018. Early life Mersyah was born in the village of Gelumbang, in Manna, South Bengkulu, on 9 January 1970 as the fifth child of nine. He completed his basic education in South Bengkulu, before studying veterinary medicine at Gadjah Mada University. Career In 2010, Mersyah ran as a vice-regent candidate for the South Bengkulu Regency.
