Helma Knorscheidt (born 31 December 1956 in Nauendorf, Saxony-Anhalt) is an East German shot putter. She competed for the sports club SC Chemie Halle during her active career. As a veteran Helma Knorscheidt (now married Teuscher) is active as well. She took part at several World Masters Athletics Championships and European Veterans Athletics Championships. She was most successful by winning the shot put competition age group W50 at World Championships 2007 in Riccione (Italy) (14,40 m using 3 kg shot) and gaining the world record in same age group at European Championship 2008 in Ljubljana Ljubljana (also known by other historical names) is the capital and largest city of Slovenia. Helma Neppérus (born 21 June 1950, in Amsterdam) is a Dutch politician and former tax inspector and rower. As a member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie) she was an MP between 30 November 2006 and 23 March 2017. She focused on matters of taxation. Biography Neppérus studied at the School of Journalism in Utrecht and (tax) law at Leiden University. She was a member of the Royal Students Rowing Club Njord and rowed in the Dutch rowing team. At the Olympics, she was active as an umpire at the rowing. She later held various administrative positions in the rowing world, including the Royal Dutch Rowing Federation (KNRB) and the International Rowing Federation. Helma Orosz (; born 11 May 1953, in Görlitz) is a German politician and member of the CDU. She was the Saxon State Minister for Social Affairs between 2003 and 2008 and '' Oberbürgermeister'' ( Lord Mayor) of Dresden from 2008 to 2015. Administrative work Orosz worked as assistant director of a nursery school in Weißwasser since the 1970s. In 1989 she became leader of the district nursery school association, and in 1990 she was appointed head of Weißwasser district's department of health and social services. She kept that position when the district was merged into the Niederschlesischer Oberlausitzkreis. Political career Orosz joined the CDU in 2000. She was elected mayor of Weißwasser in 2001. Helma Sanders-Brahms (20 November 1940 – 27 May 2014) was a German film director, screenwriter and producer. Biography Helma Sanders was born on 20 November 1940 in Emden, Germany. She attended a school for acting in Hannover from 1960 to 1962, then majored in literature and drama at Cologne University. Her early career involved work as a hospital aide and an on-air announcer for the Cologne television station WDR-3. She produced documentaries and film shorts for the station. During a trip to Italy in 1967, she interned with film directors Pier Paolo Pasolini and Sergio Corbucci, a decisive experience in her choice to pursue film-making. Beginning in 1969, she made her own films, writing her own screenplays and producing many of her films herself.
