Hellfyre Club is an American independent record label based in Los Angeles, California. It was founded and is currently owned by rapper Nocando. According to ''Pitchfork Media'', it is "an assemblage of West Coast art rap luminaries connected to Project Blowed, a long-running hip hop workshop that served as a proving ground for 90s and aughts L.A. aesthetes from Freestyle Fellowship and Abstract Rude to Pigeon John." History Hellfyre Club released ''Prometheus'', a label compilation mixed by DJ Nobody, in March 2011. Another compilation, ''Veneris Nigrum'', followed in November that year. It featured contributions from E.Super, Kail, Subtitle (rapper), Subtitle, Rheteric Ramirez, Open Mike Eagle, Pistol McFly, Sahtyre, Nocando, and VerBS. Nocando
James McCall (born June 3, 1983), better known by his stage names Nocando and All City Jimmy, is an American rapper from Los Angeles, California. He is the 2007 Scribble Jam champion and founder of Hellfyre Club. He is a member of hip hop groups such as Customer Service, Bomb Zombies, and Flash Bang Grenada. Career Nocando began gaining notoriety in Leimert Park's open-mic workshops in South Los Angeles. In the battle circuit, it is believed that he has won a hundred wins over many emcees. He has since focused on making and releasing music, only taking time out occasionally to battle. In 2010, Nocando released his official debut album, ''Jimmy the Lock'', on Alpha Pup Records. Cadalack Ron
Robert Paulson (April 28, 1981 – January 22, 2016), better known by his stage name Cadalack Ron, was an American rapper from Los Angeles, California. Early life Robert Paulson was a childhood friend and elementary school classmate of Josh Groban. Career Robert Paulson based his material on his life experiences, including his drug addictions. In addition to the moniker "Cadalack Ron", he also performed under the monikers "The Methadone Don" and "Black Tar Rap Star", alluding to his dependency. In 2014, he attracted negative publicity for footage in which he appeared to inject himself with drugs during a rap battle. He has collaborated with rappers such as Myka 9, Milo, Nocando, Open Mike Eagle, 2Mex, and Radioinactive. Ferreira, formerly Milo (often stylized as milo) and Scallops Hotel, is an American rapper and producer from Kenosha, Wisconsin. Michael W. Eagle II (born November 14, 1980), better known by his stage name Open Mike Eagle, is an American hip hop artist and comedian. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, he is now based in Los Angeles, California, where he is a member of the hip hop collective Project Blowed. He has also been a member of Thirsty Fish, Swim Team, and Cavanaugh. Alternative Hip Hop
Alternative hip hop (also known as alternative rap) is a subgenre of hip hop music that encompasses a wide range of styles that are not typically identified as mainstream.
