''Hell or High Water'' is a 2016 American neo-Western crime drama film directed by David Mackenzie (director), David Mackenzie and written by Taylor Sheridan. It follows two brothers (Chris Pine and Ben Foster (actor), Ben Foster) who carry out a series of bank robberies to save their family ranch, while being pursued by two Texas Ranger Division, Texas Rangers (Jeff Bridges and Gil Birmingham). David Mackenzie (director)
David Mackenzie (born 10 May 1966) is a Scottish film director and co-founder of the Glasgow-based production company Sigma Films. He has made ten feature films including '' Young Adam'' (2003), ''Hallam Foe'' (2007), ''Perfect Sense'' (2011) and ''Starred Up'' (2013).
