Hell And Back (comics)
''Hell and Back'' is a nine-issue comic book Limited series (comics), limited series, first published by Dark Horse Comics in July 1999–April 2000, and the seventh and final volume in Frank Miller's ''Sin City'' series. Plot It tells the story of Wallace (Sin City), Wallace, an artist/war hero/short order cook who saves a suicidal woman named Esther. She likes his art and they go out for a drink. They are ambushed by two men, who drug Wallace and kidnap Esther. The Colonel and Liebowitz are a suspected part of this conspiracy. Wallace spends the night in the drunk tank, after being dragged out of the gutter by two of Basin City's (notoriously corrupt) police officers, Manson and Bundy, and upon his release seeks out Esther. Maverick (Dark Horse)
Maverick is a defunct imprint of Dark Horse Comics, created in 1999 by editor Diana Schutz for creator-owned works, to "provid a home for creator-owned properties — providing a certain identity to those creator-owned labors of love that distinguishes them from Dark Horse's licensed books." The imprint, Dark Horse's second attempt at a creator-owned imprint (after "Legend"), was relatively short-lived, publishing fewer than fifty issues/titles between 1999 and 2002. Captain America is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Roark Family
The Roark family is a fictional dynasty from Frank Miller's graphic novel series ''Sin City''. The family is made up of corrupt officials and landowners of Irish descent, who hold absolute power in Basin City. They are the main antagonists in the series, and are frequent catalysts to various plots and storylines. Several of their associates also serve as villains within the stories. History The family founded what would become Basin City during the Gold Rush, when a Roark ancestor brought with him a large number of foreign prostitutes to the gold mining camp. The prostitutes were immediately popular, turning a small camp into a thriving city. Criminal Conspiracy
In criminal law, a conspiracy is an agreement between two or more persons to commit a crime at some time in the future.
