''Hell-Bent for Heaven'' is a 1926 American silent drama film directed by J. Stuart Blackton and written by Marian Constance Blackton. Marian Constance Blackton
Marian Constance Blackton (January 18, 1901 – December 12, 1993) was an American screenwriter and actress active primarily in the 1920s. She was sometimes credited as Marian Constance. Biography Marian was the daughter of film producer J. Stuart Blackton and his wife, Isabelle Mabel MacArthur. Her siblings include filmmaker J. Stuart Blackton Jr., actor Charles Stuart Blackton (half-brother), and actress Violet Virginia Blackton. She grew up on film sets, thanks to her father's career, and knew early on that she wanted to get into the industry for herself. "Location trips with my father's company were my idea of heaven," she once remarked. Evelyn Selbie
Evelyn Selbie (July 6, 1871 – December 7, 1950) was an American stage actress and performer in both silent and sound films. Biography Born in Louisville, Kentucky, as a young woman Selbie was a sidesaddle rider. She had a career which lasted twenty-five years on the stage. She began in Proctor's stock companies in New York after leaving her home. She acted in plays like ''Human Hearts'' and '' The Cat and the Canary''. In the former production she starred for two seasons. Selbie also acted in the stock theater company that operated at the Grand Theater in Reno, Nevada. Then she ventured west where she tenured 18 months at the old Central Theatre in San Francisco, California. This was followed by a season in stock in San Diego, California and then a long one in Alaska with T.D. Frawley. During the Alaska tour Evelyn alternated leads with Virginia Thornton. Wilfrid North (16 January 1863 – 3 June 1935), also spelled Wilfred North, was an Anglo-American film director, actor, and writer of the silent film era. He directed 102 films, including short films; acted in 43 films; and wrote the story for three films. Biography Wilfrid North was born in London on 16 January 1863.
