Helge Røstad
Helge Røstad (29 December 1923 – 23 October 1994) was a Norwegian judge. He was born in Kristiansand. He worked in the Norwegian Prosecuting Authority from 1968, as deputy under-secretary of State in the Ministry of Justice and the Police from 1970, and as a Supreme Court Justice from 1976 to 1993. Kristiansand is a seaside resort city and municipality in Agder county, Norway. Norwegian Prosecuting Authority ( no, Påtalemyndigheten) is a body subordinate to the Norwegian Council of State. This body is responsible for legal prosecutions in Norway. It is divided into three levels. The third level of the Prosecuting Authority is the Police. The first two, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Public Prosecutors, are called "the Higher Prosecuting Authority" ( no, Den høyere påtalemyndighet).
