Helge Iberg
Helge Iberg (born 27 March 1954 in Skien, Norway) is a Norwegian contemporary composer. Iberg studied musicology, history of ideas and religious studies at the University of Oslo under the tutorship of composers Olav Anton Thommessen and Ragnar Søderlind. As a composer, Iberg has made the transition from jazz to contemporary orchestral music. Iberg’s works have been commissioned and performed by several of Norway’s major symphony orchestras, the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival and the Oslo Chamber Music Festival. Iberg is a recipient of a Prix Italia Work of the Year Award for his opera ''Det ondes problem'' (1990) as well as nominations to the Edvardprisen and the Spellemannprisen – the Norwegian equivalent to the Grammy. Elin Rosseland
Elin Rosseland (born 5 April 1959 in Norway) is a singer, bandleader, and composer who studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music and is known from collaborations with Vigleik Storaas, Johannes Eick, Sidsel Endresen, Eldbjørg Raknes, Christian Wallumrød, and Johannes Eick. (in Norwegian) Store Norske Leksikon (in Norwegian) Career Rosseland has played with "Stein Eide Band", the Norwegian band "Kix" and the octet "Winds Hot & Cool" (with album in 1984). She early developed her own quintet "Fair Play" based in Trondheim, with the musicians Tor Yttredal, Vigleik Storaas, Johannes Eick and Trond Kopperud. They released the album ''Fair Play'' (1989). Grappa Musikkforlag (established 1983 in Norway) is a Norwegian music company initiated and directed by Helge Westbye. It is one of the oldest and biggest independent record companies in Norway today. The company represents prominent Norwegian artists, and the catalog consists of more than 35 000 tracks in all genres of music. The classic catalog is marketed through Simax Classics. Odd Børretzen
Odd Lunde Børretzen (21 November 1926 – 3 November 2012) was a Norwegian author, illustrator, translator, and one of the most significant text writers, folk singers and artists in Norway. Biography Børretzen was born in Fister in the Hjelmeland municipality as the son of the preacher Jacob Børretzen. When Odd was three years old, his family moved to Grorud in Oslo; his childhood is related in the self-biographic ''Min barndoms verden'' (My Childhood World, 1997; filmed as '' Da jeg traff Jesus … med sprettert'', 2000).
