Helen Greaves
Helen Greaves is an English television script editor, producer and writer. She was born in Winscombe Somerset and grew up near Wigton in Cumbria and in Oxfordshire. Greaves studied Drama at Manchester University and she later went on to work at Contact Theatre and then the BBC in London. Greaves began as working as a Floor Assistant at BBC TV centre on various shows including Top of the Pops, Saturday Superstore and later as a script editor in BBC Drama where she worked with writers including Penelope Mortimer, John Mortimer, John Harvey, Peter Flannery, Ian La Frenais, Jimmy Nail and Sandy Welch on the series Casualty, Summer’s Lease, Portrait of a Marriage, A Fatal Inversion and Spender. She later worked as a producer on EastEnders, O Mary This London and Life With Eliza. She also wrote for Casualty, Bramwell and Holby City. ''Top of the Pops'' (''TOTP'') is a British Record chart, music chart television programme, made by the BBC and originally broadcast weekly between 1January 1964 and 30 July 2006. The programme was the world's longest-running weekly music show. For most of its history, it was broadcast on Thursday evenings on BBC One. Each show consisted of performances of some of the week's best-selling popular music records, usually excluding any tracks moving down the chart, including a rundown of that week's singles chart. This was originally the Top 20, though this varied throughout the show's history. The Top 30 was used from 1969, and the Top 40 from 1984. Saturday Superstore
''Saturday Superstore'' is a British children's television series that aired on BBC1 from 2 October 1982 to 18 April 1987. It was shown on Saturday mornings with presenters including Mike Read, Sarah Greene, Keith Chegwin, and John Craven. The show was very similar to its predecessor ''Multi-Coloured Swap Shop'', which had ended the previous October–March season following its presenter Noel Edmonds moving away from children's TV to present his prime-time ''Late Late Breakfast Show''. A regular spot on the show was their children's talent show "Search for a Superstar". The winner of the 1986 search were Claire and Friends, spawning the top-20 hit "It's 'Orrible Being in Love (When You're 8½)". Leonard Lewis
Leonard Jack Lewis (29 November 1927 – 2 December 2005) was a British producer and director. He was most active in television. He was the Executive/Series Producer for BBC's ''EastEnders'' during the early 1990s, though he had success with many other television programmes for both the BBC and ITV. It has been said that Lewis believed in "the principles of public service broadcasting" and he has been described as a "gifted television producer with hidden directorial talents". After over 40 years working in the television industry, Lewis retired in 1995. He died in December 2005, aged 78. Career After completing National service in the RAF, he became an actor and worked in repertory at the Manchester Library Theatre, Morecambe and Ashton-under-Lyne. Barbara Emile is a British television producer. Emile contributed to the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' for several years. She first started working on the serial as script editor underneath producer Leonard Lewis, and she began producing the programme in 1992. Following the departure of Lewis in 1994, Emile was promoted to Executive Producer.
