Heimo Erbse (27 February 1924 – 22 September 2005) was a German composer from Rudolstadt. Erbse studied in Weimar, and then worked from 1947 to 1950 in the theater before studying under Blacher in 1950. He lived most of his life in Austria. Heimo Haitto
Heimo Verneri Haitto (22 May 1925 – 9 June 1999) was a Finnish-American classical violinist who played in several U.S. symphony orchestras. A child prodigy, he was characterized as “Finland’s Jascha Heifetz”. Career Heimo Haitto was born in Viipuri, Finland, to a family in which the father, a locomotive driver, was an amateur violinist. The son started to play violin as well, and the Russian-born pedagogue Boris Sirpo (1893–1967) took him not only as a student but as a foster son and raised him in Viipuri. In 1939, the 13-year-old Haitto made his début with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, and later that year he won the British Council music prize. The young violinist become famous, and his story inspired a fictional film, ''Pikku pelimanni'' (The Little Player) of 1939, in which Haitto played the leading role. Heimo Korth is an American outdoorsman. He and his wife Edna are among the few permanent residents of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. They live along the Coleen River, just south of the Brooks Range, and move between cabins seasonally. Striving to be self-reliant, they hunt and fish for their own food. The Korths' lifestyle came to public attention with James Campbell's 2004 book '' The Final Frontiersman: Heimo Korth and His Family, Alone in Alaska's Arctic Wilderness''. In 2009, VBS.tv produced ''Surviving Alone in Alaska'', a documentary film showing Korth's lifestyle. He was also featured among others on PBS's "Braving Alaska" in 1992. Heimo Pfeifenberger (born 29 December 1966) is an Austrian professional football manager and a former player. He is the manager of SV Grödig. Club career On club level Pfeifenberger played for USV Zederhaus (youth career), Austria Salzburg, Werder Bremen, SK Rapid Wien, SV Seekirchen 1945 and SV Grödig. He celebrated most success at Austria Salzburg. In 1994 and 1995, he won the league title and the Austrian Supercup with Salzburg. Heimo Zobernig (born 1958) is an Austrian artist who works in a variety of media from painting and sculpture to site specific installation and design. Education Zobernig attended the Academy of Fine Arts (Akademie der bildenden Künste), Vienna in the late 1970s and graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts (Hochschule für angewandte Kunst), Vienna in 1983. Academic career Zobernig began his teaching career as a professor at the Academy of Applied Arts, Vienna. After several teaching fellowships in Germany he was appointed professor of art at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna, in 1999, where he continues to teach.
