Heilig-Geist-Gymnasium
Heilig-Geist-Gymnasium is a Christian secondary school located in Broich in Würselen, Germany. Roman canal On September 12, 2019, the Heilig-Geist-Gymnasium received a section of an ancient Roman water conduit. This pipe, which is almost two millennia old, was found during excavation work near Cologne and was then restored by trainees from the Chamber of Crafts and divided into 22 parts. The section of the former water conduit is now located in the schoolyard of the Gymnasium. The entire project was subsidized by the Landschaftsverband Rheinland. The canal is supervised by the school's archaeology AG. Menden
Menden (, official name: ''Menden (Sauerland)''; Westphalian: ''Mennen'') is a city in the district Märkischer Kreis, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located at the north end of the Sauerland near the Ruhr river. History Menden's first churches were built in the 9th century. From 1180 on the area around Menden was part of the Cologne region, however, as it was on the border with the County of Mark, it was often fought over. In 1276, it received city rights. Industrialization started early: in 1695 needle production was the first industry, later followed by limestone products such as cement. In 1816 Menden was included within Prussia, after being part of Hesse for 13 years. In 1975 the city was merged with several previously independent municipalities, thus it grew in area as well as population. Würselen (, Ripuarian language, Ripuarian: ) is a town in the borough of Aachen (district), Aachen, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Geography Würselen lies north of the city of Aachen in the immediate vicinity of the tripoint of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
