Heikki Valtteri Paasonen (born ) is a Finnish television presenter. Paasonen came to prominence as the host of '' Idols'' with Ellen Jokikunnas. ''Idols'' is a Finnish reality-television singing competition that airs on Nelonen (and formerly also on MTV3 and Sub). It debuted in the summer of 2003, and went on to become one of the most popular shows on Finnish television. Part of the ''Idol'' franchise, it originated from the reality program ''Pop Idol'' created by British entertainment executive Simon Fuller, which was first aired in 2001 in the United Kingdom. The program seeks to discover the best unsigned singer in Finland through a series of nationwide auditions, and the outcomes of the later stages of the competition are determined by public phone voting. ''Seiska'', also known as ''7 päivää'' (Finnish for 7 days), is a Finnish gossip magazine published in Helsinki, Finland. History and profile ''7 päivää'' was first published in 1992. Ellen Jokikunnas
Ellen Jokikunnas (b. 18 November 1976) is a Finnish model, PR manager, and television presenter. She is best known for hosting all four seasons of ''Idols'', but her first fame came from competing in the Miss Finland pageant in 1998. Besides ''Idols'', she has hosted the children's quiz show '' Suuri kupla'' ("Big Bubble"), as well as her own traveling show, ''Ellen Express''. Jokikunnas was born in Janakkala, and has three brothers and sisters: Emil, Anton and Ida. She has lived in Turku, but moved later to Helsinki, and has recently bought an old railway station from Röykkä, Nurmijärvi, which she is renovating as her new home. The Eurovision Song Contest 2007 was the 52nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Helsinki, Finland, following the country's victory at the with the song "Hard Rock Hallelujah" by Lordi. Nelonen () is a Finnish commercial television channel. It started out as Helsinki's local television channel PTV in 1990 on the HTV cable network (now part of DNA Welho), and changed its name first to PTV4. On June 1, 1997, the channel expanded to national coverage and changed its name to Nelonen, the Finnish name of the number four.
