Heights (album)
''Heights'' is the fifth studio album by American pop rock band Walk the Moon, released on November 12, 2021, through RCA Records. The album is Walk the Moon's first studio album to be recorded since bassist Kevin Ray left the band in December 2020. Background On July 14, 2021, the band released the lead single " Can You Handle My Love??", alongside two promotional singles "I'm Good" and "Giants". In frontman Nicholas Petricca's words, "the album is buttressed by songs that are eight or nine years old, and that the band writes a lot of songs for each record, so there's a lot of material that doesn't get used, and it's not because we don't love those babies. Sometimes it takes a while for them to grow up, or for us to find the right way to really bring them to life." Captain Cuts
Captain Cuts is a songwriting, record production and remix team based in Los Angeles. The trio is composed of Ben Berger, Ryan McMahon and Ryan Rabin (son of Trevor), drummer and producer of the band Grouplove. Collectively they have produced and co-written songs for artists such as Walk the Moon (" Shut Up and Dance"), Bebe Rexha (" I Got You"), Halsey, The Chainsmokers, Grouplove, Tove Lo, LÉON, Keith Urban, and Marina, among others. Walk the Moon (stylized as WALK THE MOON) is an American Rock music, rock band based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lead singer Nicholas Petricca started the band in 2006, while a student at Kenyon College, deriving the band's name from the song "Walking on the Moon" by the Police. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). Chris Gehringer (born May 27, 1962) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered recordings such as Gwen Stefani's '' Love. Angel. Music. Baby.'' (2004), Rihanna's '' Loud'' (2010), Lady Gaga's '' Born This Way'' (2011) and Drake's '' Take Care'' (2011). Biography Gehringer was born in Teaneck, New Jersey and raised in Bergen County.
