Heidi Ganahl
Heidi Ganahl (born September 9, 1966) is an American businesswoman, entrepreneur, author, and formerly an elected member of the University of Colorado Board of Regents. She is the founder and former CEO of Camp Bow Wow, an international pet care franchise. In November 2016, she was elected Regent of the University of Colorado. As of she is the most recent Republican elected statewide in Colorado. Ganahl was the Republican nominee for governor of Colorado in the 2022 election, losing in a landslide to incumbent Democrat Jared Polis. Background and education Ganahl was born in Orange County, California where she lived until she was 12. Her family then moved to Monument, Colorado, where she attended Lewis-Palmer High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Colorado Boulder, followed by a master's degree in healthcare administration from the University of Denver. University Of Colorado Board Of Regents
The Regents of the University of Colorado is the governing board of the University of Colorado system, the system of public universities in the U.S. state of Colorado. Established under Article IX, Section 9 of the Constitution of Colorado, it has 9 voting members. One regent is elected to represent each of Colorado's seven congressional districts, with two others elected by the state at large. They serve six-year terms which are staggered so not all are elected at the same time. Walker Stapleton (born April 15, 1974) is an American politician who served two terms as Colorado's State Treasurer from 2011 to 2019.
