Olof Gustaf Hedstrom
Olof Gustaf Hedstrom (11 May 1803 – 5 May 1877) was a Swedish-American minister who oversaw the Bethel Ship mission serving sailors and immigrants arriving in New York City from 1845-1876. Hedstrom's ministry influenced Swedish settlement patterns in the United States and established the earliest Swedish Methodist congregations in New York, Pennsylvania and Illinois. Hedstrom trained a ministerium of Scandinavian pastors aboard the Bethel Ship mission who went on to lead parishes and missions throughout the United States as well as establishing the Methodist church in Scandinavia. Early life Olof Gustaf Hedström was born in 1803 in the Småland region of Sweden to Johan Carlsson Hedström and Annica Persdotter. Oscar Hedstrom
Oscar Hedstrom (12 March 1871 – 29 August 1960) was a co-founder of the Indian Motocycle Manufacturing Company. Childhood and adolescence Carl Oscar Hedström was born in the parish of Lönneberga, Hultsfred Municipality, Kalmar County, Småland, Sweden. His family emigrated in 1880 to the United States, and settled in Brooklyn, New York City. As a boy, he spent much time riding a bicycle around the city, and was fascinated by its mechanical design. Sir John Maynard Hedstrom (22 February 1872 – 2 June 1951) was a Fijian businessman and politician. He served as a member of the Legislative Council for over 30 years. Margaret L. Hedstrom, Ph.D., is the Robert M. Warner Collegiate Professor of Information at the University of Michigan School of Information. She has contributed to the field of digital preservation, archives, and electronic records management and holds a doctorate in history from the University of Wisconsin. Hedstrom has led or participated in many international research projects. Currently, this entails leading the NSF-funded Sustainable Environment through Actionable Data (SEAD) project, which is working closely with sustainability scientists to "develop a system that will allow them to manage and share their data." Jonathan "Jonte" Hedström (born 27 December 1977) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey left winger. Playing career Hedström was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs with their 9th round pick, 221st overall, in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. In June 2000 he was traded the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim for 6th ( Vadim Sozinov) and 7th ( Markus Seikola) round selections in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. After only having played three playoff games with Anaheim in the 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Hedström decided to return to Skellefteå in Sweden and be with his pregnant wife. Ludvig Hedström (born 14 April 2001) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing for Djurgårdens IF of the HockeyAllsvenskan (Allsv). Øystein Hedstrøm
Øystein Hedstrøm (born 7 August 1946) is a Norwegian politician. He was a Member of Parliament from Østfold for the Progress Party from 1989 to 2005, after which he declined renomination. Early and personal life Hedstrøm was born in Moss, Norway to workshop owner Åge Willem Hedstrøm (born 1923) from Värmland, Sweden and Astri Thue (born 1921). He is educated a dentist by profession, and is married to cosmetologist Britt Huseby whom he met at a TV Norge dating show called ''Reisesjekken'' in 1993. Hedstrøm was in his political career notably characterised by his comb over hair style, and according to a later commentator it even became the "symbol" of the more extreme faction of the Progress Party.
