Middle Low German or Middle Saxon (autonym: ''Sassisch'', i.e. " Saxon", Standard High German: ', Modern Dutch: ') is a developmental stage of Low German. It developed from the Old Saxon language in the Middle Ages and has been documented in writing since about 1225/34 (''Sachsenspiegel''). During the Hanseatic period (from about 1300 to about 1600), Middle Low German was the leading written language in the north of Central Europe and served as a lingua franca in the northern half of Europe. It was used parallel to medieval Latin also for purposes of diplomacy and for deeds. Franz Heckendorf
Franz Heckendorf (5 November 1888 – 17 August 1962) was a German expressionist painter closely associated with the Berlin Secession. He contributed works to the painting event in the art competition at the 1928 Summer Olympics. His work was highly regarded during the Weimar Republic but from 1937 was classed as ''entartete Kunst''. Keith Heckendorf
Keith Heckendorf (born April 23, 1981) is an American football coach who is currently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Arkansas State University. He was previously the quarterbacks coach and pass game coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Playing career Heckendorf played quarterback at St. Cloud State from 2000 to 2003. At St. Cloud, he set program records for career passing yards, career touchdowns, and career pass completions. He was also a three-time Harlon Hill Trophy finalist (the D-II equivalent of the Heisman Trophy), and an All-American. He was also a National Football Foundation Scholar athlete in 2003, and was inducted into the school's hall of fame in 2017. Kole Heckendorf
Kole Joseph Heckendorf (born November 20, 1985) is an American football coach and former wide receiver. After playing college football at North Dakota State, he was signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2009. Heckendorf has also been a member of the Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, San Diego Chargers, and Indianapolis Colts.
