Hebe Haven Yacht Club
Hebe Haven Yacht Club established in 1963, is a private members club located in the picturesque bay of Pak Sha Wan (Hebe Haven) in Sai Kung District, Hong Kong Objectives The Club's main objectives are to unite boat owners and promote boating activities and to provide boating facilities. Since its inception, the members have worked hard to maintain the boating character of their club. Most are water sport enthusiasts and are keen to see the club remain focused on its roots. Character The Club is very sociable; it is well known for its friendly and welcoming attitude towards newcomers. The relaxed atmosphere in the club bar and restaurant is appreciated by the members and the restaurant is renowned for producing some of the best food in the Sai Kung area. Sai Kung District
Sai Kung District is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong, a special administrative region of China. The district comprises the southern half of the Sai Kung Peninsula, the Clear Water Bay Peninsula in the New Territories and a strip of land to the east of Kowloon. Laser Stratos
The Laser Stratos is an all-round cruising and racing boat designed by Phil Morrison and built by LaserPerformance, the same company as the famous Laser Standard dinghy. It is built from fibre-glass and foam sandwich. The Laser Stratos comes in two forms, one with a keel (similar to most yachts) and one with a centreboard (like nearly all dinghies). Aberdeen Boat Club
Aberdeen Boat Club is a rowing club on the River Dee, based at 29 S Esplanade W, Aberdeen. The club is affiliated to Scottish Rowing. History The club was founded in 1865 when four boats were purchased. Several boathouses have existed throughout the club's history, the first was at the Ferryhill Burn Nr Bank Street. In 1876 a second boathouse was built in Polmuir and this was later followed a £60 purchase of the university boathouse in 1924. The boathouse was sold back to the university in 1953 when the club experienced a difficult period. A new boathouse was constructed in 1982 which gained an extension in 1994 with two additional boat bays.
