Heavy Vegetable was a Rock music, rock band based in Encinitas, California, which featured guitarist and lead singer Rob Crow, singer Eléa Tenuta, bassist Travis Nelson and drummer Manolo Turner. 11 years after their final studio album released, Rob Crow, Crow, Nelson, and Turner reunited as Other Men and produced the album "Wake Up Swimming" which released in 2007. Robertdale Rulon Crow Jr. (born February 21, 1971) is an American singer and musician from San Diego, California, known for his involvement with the bands Pinback, Heavy Vegetable, Physics, Optiganally Yours and Thingy. Goblin Cock
Goblin Cock is an American heavy metal band from San Diego, California, United States, started by Rob Crow of the band Pinback. Musically, they play a form of doom metal/drone metal with rather unusual lyrical subjects, including pop culture songs about the films Godzilla's Revenge, Billy Jack, and the Snuffleupagus from the TV show ''Sesame Street''. All members of the band have taken on stage names. The band is currently signed to Joyful Noise Recordings and has released two albums on the Absolutely Kosher record label. They went on tour for the first time in 2006 and played at the 20th annual South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, TX. Pinback is an American indie rock band from San Diego, California. The band was formed in 1998 by singers, songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Armistead Burwell Smith IV and Rob Crow, who have been its two consistent members. They have released five studio albums and several other releases. History and origin The band's moniker is a reference to a character in the 1974 film '' Dark Star'' (played by Dan O'Bannon, who also co-wrote the film), directed by John Carpenter. Audio samples from this film are used frequently in the band's early works. In 2004, Pinback signed to Touch and Go Records. They released their third album, ''Summer in Abaddon'', later that year. Physics was an instrumental band from San Diego, California, established by John D. Goff and Denver Lucas in late 1993 after the breakup of Johnny Superbad & the Bulletcatchers. History Featuring a rotating cast of musicians from the San Diego experimental underground but mainly composed of Denver Lucas on drums, Jeff Coad on synthesizers, John Goff, Will Goff, Jason Soares, Rob Crow, Travis Nelson, Ryan Jencks on guitar and Matt Lorenz on visuals/projections. Team Sleep is an American experimental alternative rock/post-rock group led by singer/guitarist Chino Moreno. Moreno is better known for fronting the Sacramento-based alternative metal band Deftones. The Residents are an American art collective and art rock band best known for their avant-garde music and multimedia works.
