Heavy Hitters
''Heavy Hitters'' is a 2005 album of cover songs by the Michael Schenker Group. Originally planned by Schenker as a collection of covers featuring himself and a "revolving all-star cast of guest musicians," the album was labeled and marketed as an MSG album, with the result that Schenker received only a flat fee. In 2008, it was re-released as a Michael Schenker solo album under the title ''Doctor Doctor: The Kulick Sessions'' and included four additional tracks (1-2 and 13-14). A Deluxe Digital version of this release is available under the "Guitar Masters: The Kulick Sessions" title. This contains instrumental versions of all the songs on the album except 'Save Yourself'. The album was re-issued again in 2011 with the title ''By Invitation Only'' by the Store For Music label, including the song "Run to the Hills", which Schenker and McAuley had recorded for the Iron Maiden tribute album ''Numbers from the Beast''. Leslie West
Leslie West (born Leslie Abel Weinstein; October 22, 1945 – December 23, 2020) was an American guitarist, singer and songwriter. He was the co-founder, guitarist and co-lead vocalist of the rock band Mountain. Life and career Early years: 1945–1973 West was born on October 22, 1945, in New York City to Jewish parents, but grew up in Hackensack, New Jersey, and in East Meadow, New York, Forest Hills, New York, and Lawrence, New York. After his parents divorced, he changed his surname to West. Gail Delta Collins Pappalardi (February 2, 1941 – December 6, 2013) was an American songwriter, producer, and artist. Biography She came to prominence (as 'Miss Gail Collins') co-producing, with Pappalardi, the self-titled debut album by Energy, a group featuring Corky Laing. She also co-produced, with Felix Pappalardi, the ''Felix Pappalardi and Creation'' album in 1976. Collins Pappalardi co-wrote Cream's "World of Pain" with her husband Felix Pappalardi and "Strange Brew" with Pappalardi and Eric Clapton. Both songs are included on the album ''Disraeli Gears''. She contributed lyrics to many Mountain songs. Felix Pappalardi
Felix A. Pappalardi Jr. (December 30, 1939 – April 17, 1983) was an American music producer, songwriter, vocalist, and bassist. He is best known as the bassist and co-lead vocalist of the band Mountain, whose song "Mississippi Queen" peaked at number 21 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and has become a classic rock radio staple. Originating in the eclectic music scene in New York's Greenwich Village, he became closely attached to the British power trio Cream, writing, arranging, and producing for their second album ''Disraeli Gears''. As a producer for Atlantic Records, he worked on several projects with guitarist Leslie West; in 1969 their partnership evolved into the band Mountain. The band lasted less than five years, but their work influenced the first generation of heavy metal and hard rock music. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Jeffrey Steven Pilson (born January 19, 1959) is an American musician best known for being the bass player in the glam metal band Dokken and currently classic rock band Foreigner.
