Heatstroke (song)
"Heatstroke" is a song by Scottish DJ and record producer Calvin Harris featuring American musicians Young Thug, Pharrell Williams, and Ariana Grande. It is the second single from Harris's fifth studio album, ''Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1'' (2017). It was released on 31 March 2017 through Sony Music, following "Slide". Composition The song was written by Calvin Harris, Young Thug, Ariana Grande, Pharrell Williams, Brittany Hazzard, Robin Hannibal, and Cecilie Karshøj. Initially Hannibal and Karshøj of Danish duo Quadron were not credited as co-writers. According to Karshøj, Quadron wrote the demo version of "Heatstroke" with Pharrell Williams in 2012, but when Pharrell Williams released the song with Calvin Harris in March 2017, Hannibal and Karshøj were uncredited as co-writers. Karshøj alleges that she has a video recording of herself recording the demo vocals for "Heatstroke", which were later re-recorded by Ariana Grande. The Dutch Single Top 100 or Single Top 100 is a Dutch chart, based on official physical single sales, legal downloads and since July 2013 streaming and composed by Dutch Charts. It is one of the three official charts, the other two being the Dutch Top 40 and the Mega Top 30. The difference is that these charts also include airplay data. The list is especially intended for the music industry and those who take an interest in charts. The Dutch Top 40 ( nl, Nederlandse Top 40) is a weekly music chart compiled by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40''. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. Joost den Draaijer initiated the Top 40 in the Netherlands. The show currently airs on Fridays from 2 to 6 PM on Qmusic. The Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana (FIMI) is an umbrella organization that keeps track of virtually all aspects of the music recording industry in Italy. It was established in 1992, when major corporate labels left the previously existing Associazione dei Fonografici Italiani (AFI). During the following years, most of the remaining Italian record labels left AFI to join the new organisation. As of 2011, FIMI represents 2,500 companies operating in the music business. FIMI is a member of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry and of the Italian employers' federation, Confindustria. Rhodes Piano
The Rhodes piano (also known as the Fender Rhodes piano) is an electric piano invented by Harold Rhodes, which became popular in the 1970s. Like a conventional piano, the Rhodes generates sound with keys and hammers, but instead of strings, the hammers strike thin metal tines, which vibrate next to an electromagnetic pickup. The signal is then sent through a cable to an external keyboard amplifier and speaker. The instrument evolved from Rhodes's attempt to manufacture pianos while teaching recovering soldiers during World War II. Development continued after the war and into the following decade. In 1959, Fender began marketing the Piano Bass, a cut-down version; the full-size instrument did not appear until after Fender's sale to CBS in 1965. The LinnDrum, also referred to as the LM-2, is a drum machine manufactured by Linn Electronics between 1982 and 1985. About 5,000 units were sold. Its high-quality samples, flexibility and affordability made the LinnDrum popular; it sold far more units than its predecessor (the LM-1) and its successor (the Linn 9000) combined.
