Heather Duby
Heather Duby (born July 26, 1974, in Eugene, Oregon) is an American singer-songwriter. History Heather Duby grew up in Portland, Oregon, studied at Evergreen State College, located in Olympia, Washington. She relocated to Seattle in 1994. For several years, Duby fronted her own band and worked the Seattle restaurant industry. In 1998, she worked with producer Steve Fisk to record her first album, '' Post to Wire'', on Sub Pop Records. In 2001, Duby released an EP, Symbient with the improvisational electronic band Elemental (which featured members of Maktub and FCS North. Her popularity continued to increase. In 2003, Duby released '' Come Across the River'' on Sonic Boom Recordings. In July 2006, Duby released an eponymously titled album which featured Erin Tate and Alex Rose, members of Seattle's Minus the Bear. She has performed in the Seattle indie scene for over 12 years. Eugene ( ) is a city in the U.S. state of Oregon. Mastodon is an American heavy metal band from Atlanta, Georgia. Formed in 2000, the band's lineup of Troy Sanders (bass/vocals), Brent Hinds (lead guitar/vocals), Bill Kelliher (rhythm guitar/backing vocals) and Brann Dailor (drums/vocals) has remained the same since 2001. Isis (sometimes stylized ISIS) was an American post-metal band formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1997. The band borrowed from and helped to evolve the post-metal sound pioneered by bands such as Neurosis and Godflesh, characterized by lengthy songs focusing on repetition and evolution of structure. Criteria (band)
Criteria is an indie rock band from Omaha, Nebraska, formed in 2003 when ex- Cursive founding member Steve Pedersen returned to his hometown after graduating from the Duke University School of Law. He spent six months in a friend's basement where he wrote all ten songs for his new project's debut album. He recruited the help of some old friends, A.J. Mogis (of Presto! Recording Studios and Lullaby for the Working Class) on bass guitar, Aaron Druery on guitar, and Mike Sweeney of Beep Beep on drums. Their first album, ''En Garde'', was released on his previous band's label, Initial Records. Steve Pedersen worked as a lawyer, making it hard for the band to promote their album. Initial Records went bankrupt about a year after, leaving Criteria without a label. Saddle Creek Records took their longtime friend in and put out three releases in 2005. Interpol is an American rock band from Manhattan, New York. Camera Obscura is a Scottish indie pop band from Glasgow. The group formed in 1996, and have released five albums to date – the most recent of which, '' Desire Lines'', was released in 2013. Headlights (band)
Headlights was an American indie rock band from Champaign, Illinois on Polyvinyl Records. The band was formed following the dissolution of Absinthe Blind, when members Seth, Erin and Brett Sanderson formed a band named Orphans. It was only when Tristan Wraight joined that Headlights was formed. Headlights released ''The Enemies EP'' in 2004, and followed that up in 2006 with a split single with Canadian indie rock band The Most Serene Republic. Later in 2006, the band released their debut album, '' Kill Them with Kindness'', which received generally positive reviews.
