Heartburn (film)
''Heartburn'' is a 1986 American comedy-drama film directed and produced by Mike Nichols, starring Meryl Streep and Jack Nicholson. The screenplay, written by Nora Ephron, is based on her novel of the same name, a semi-biographical account of her marriage to Carl Bernstein. The song " Coming Around Again" was written and performed by Carly Simon, and became one of her biggest hits. The song reached No. 18 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and No. 5 on the ''Billboard'' Adult Contemporary chart, and was soon followed by the album of the same name. Mike Nichols
Mike Nichols (born Michael Igor Peschkowsky; November 6, 1931 – November 19, 2014) was an American film and theater director, producer, actor, and comedian. He was noted for his ability to work across a range of genres and for his aptitude for getting the best out of actors regardless of their experience. He is one of 17 people to have won all four of the major American entertainment awards: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony (EGOT).
