"Heart Over Mind" is the second single from English pop singer Kim Wilde's eighth studio album, '' Love Is'' (1992), and was released exclusively in the UK on 15 June 1992. ''Love Is'' is the eighth studio album by Kim Wilde, released in spring 1992. Kim Wilde found herself working with Rick Nowels on this album, the same songwriter who had written for Belinda Carlisle and later for Madonna amongst others. Three of the eleven tracks were produced by him while the remaining eight were produced by Ricky Wilde. The majority of the tracks on this album were co-written by Wilde. In the song " Who Do You Think You Are?", she reflects on how she had behaved through the years in her career. There were more love songs on this album; titles such as "Touched by Your Magic" and " Heart Over Mind" are an indication of the themes of the lyrics. Nowels provided "Love Is Holy", a song that immediately struck a chord with Wilde when she heard it in his studio in America. MCA Records was an American record label owned by MCA Inc., which later became part of Universal Music Group. Pre-history MCA Inc., a powerful talent agency and a television production company, entered the recorded music business in 1962 with the purchase of the New York-based US Decca Records (established in 1934), including Coral Records and Brunswick Records. MCA was forced to exit the talent agency business in order to complete the merger. "Love Is Holy" is the first single from '' Love Is'', a 1992 album by English singer Kim Wilde. It was written by American songwriting duo Rick Nowels and Ellen Shipley. Wilde travelled to Los Angeles to do three live tracks with Nowels, and during her time there, he played her "Love Is Holy", and she took to it instantly. They recorded it the following day and released it as a single in April 1992. The single reached the top 20 in several countries. A remix subtitled "Ambient Mix" is included on the 12-inch and CD single formats, and the B-side of the single is a song called "Birthday Song", written by Wilde and her brother about his new daughter, Scarlett. Critical reception Mike DeGagne from AllMusic described the song as "bright and lively" with a "typical yet congenial" pop melody.
