He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe (1983 TV Series)
''He-Man and the Masters of the Universe'' is an American animated television series produced by Filmation based on Mattel's toy line ''Masters of the Universe''. The show, often referred to as simply ''He-Man'', was one of the most popular animated shows of the 1980s. It made its television debut in September 1983 and ran until 1985, consisting of two seasons of 65 episodes each. Towards the end of the show's original run, it spawned one feature length theatrical movie '' He-Man and She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword'', which served as the introduction for the show's spinoff literal sister series '' She-Ra: Princess of Power''. Reruns continued to air in syndication until 1988, at which point USA Network bought the rights to the series. USA aired ''He-Man'' until September 1990. The success of the toy-based show in syndication greatly influenced other animation houses to produce half-hour "cartoon commercials", and considerably changed the syndicated cartoon market. Broadcast Syndication
Broadcast syndication is the practice of leasing the right to broadcasting television shows and radio programs to multiple television stations and radio stations, without going through a broadcast network. It is common in the United States where broadcast programming is scheduled by television networks with local independent affiliates. Syndication is less widespread in the rest of the world, as most countries have centralized networks or television stations without local affiliates. Shows can be syndicated internationally, although this is less common. Three common types of syndication are: ''first-run'' syndication, which is programming that is broadcast for the first time as a syndicated show and is made specifically to sell directly into syndication; ''off-network'' syndication (colloquially called a "rerun"), which is the licensing of a program whose first airing was on network TV or in some cases, first-run syndication;Campbell, Richard, Christopher R. He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe (2002 TV Series)
''He-Man and the Masters of the Universe'' is an American animated television series. Developed for television by Michael Halperin, who created the original series, it is produced by Mike Young Productions. It served as an update of the 1980s Filmation series, produced to coincide with Mattel's revival of the Masters of the Universe franchise eleven years after its previous attempt. The series ran on Cartoon Network's Toonami programming block between August 16, 2002, and January 10, 2004. Unlike the previous ''He-Man'' series, set on the futuristic planet of Primus, this version sought to return to the roots of the storyline and provide broader explorations never reached in the first series, including origins for each character, and some first-time animated debuts of familiar toyline faces. The series also brought back several writers from the original series, such as Larry DiTillio. Also, it's the second and final ''He-Man'' series to feature a Canadian voice cast with th ...

The New Adventures Of He-Man
''The New Adventures of He-Man'' is an animated series which ran in syndication in the fall of 1990 while Mattel released the toy line He-Man, an update of their Masters of the Universe line. The cartoon series was intended to be a continuation of Filmation's ''He-Man and the Masters of the Universe'' series, but Filmation's parent Westinghouse Broadcasting had shut down the studio a year earlier before being retconned by '' Masters of the Universe: Revelation'' in 2021. Instead, while existing in the same continuity, a new central story was created for this series. It's also the first ''He-Man'' series to feature a Canadian voice cast. This would mark the final entry in the original ''Masters of the Universe'' continuity until ''He-Man and the Masters of the Universe'', as the franchise as a whole would be rebooted twelve years later. Synopsis He-Man, legendary defender of the planet Eternia, has been summoned to the futuristic planet of Primus to defend the planet from the evil ...
