Haylie McCleney
Haylie McCleney (born July 11, 1994) is an American professional softball outfielder. She played college softball for Alabama. She represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal. She most recently played in the Athletes Unlimited Softball league. Career McCleney played college softball for Alabama from 2013 to 2016, earning Second Team and three First Team All- SEC honors. She was also named a Second Team and three First Team All-American from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. McCleney would end her career with the Alabama career batting crown and a member of the elite .400 average, 300 hits, 200 runs, 100 stolen bases club. She played in the inaugural season of Athletes Unlimited Softball league. International career McCleney has been a member of the United States women's national softball team since 2013. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. 2019 Pan American Games
The 2019 Pan American Games ( es, Juegos Panamericanos de 2019, links=no), officially the XVIII Pan American Games and commonly known as the Lima 2019 Pan-Am Games or Lima 2019 ( qu, Limaq 2019), were a multi-sport event governed by the Panam Sports Organization, were held in Lima, Peru from July 26 to August 11, 2019, with preliminary rounds in certain events having begun on July 24, 2019. These were the first Pan American Games to be held in Peru, and the seventh to be held in South America. The Alabama Crimson Tide refers to the intercollegiate athletic varsity teams that represent the University of Alabama, located in Tuscaloosa. The Florida State Seminoles women's softball team represents Florida State University (variously Florida State or FSU) in the sport of softball. Florida State competes in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The Japan women's national softball team is the national team of Japan in international softball competitions. It is governed by the Japan Softball Association. Athletes Unlimited Softball is a women's professional softball league in the United States, founded in 2020. League history Athletes Unlimited was founded by Jonathan Soros and Jon Patricof. There are no team owners, and league investors are capping their returns. Athletes share in the league profits, and are involved in the daily decision making. Players are not committed to one team but switch teams every week of the season through a draft. The top four players who earned the most points each week become captains for the next week and form new teams. Softball
Softball is a game similar to baseball played with a larger ball on a smaller field. Softball is played competitively at club levels, the college level, and the professional level.
