Hawaiian Heat
''Hawaiian Heat'' is an American drama television series. It starred Robert Ginty and Jeff McCracken. The series aired on ABC from September 14 to December 21, 1984. Overview It starred Robert Ginty and Jeff McCracken as two Chicago cops who quit their jobs in the Windy City to become detectives in Hawaii. Their boss at the Honolulu Police Department was played by veteran actor Mako. Many of the episodes were directed by Ivan Dixon. The series was shot in Hawaii. Only eleven episodes aired on ABC, including the pilot movie. Its theme song, "Goodbye Blues," was used by online video producer Brad Jones as the theme for his show "80's Dan." Peter Donat (born Pierre Collingwood Donat; January 20, 1928 – September 10, 2018) was a Canadian-American actor. Early life Pierre Collingwood Donat was born in Kentville, Nova Scotia, Canada, the son of Marie (née Bardet) and Philip Ernst Donat, a landscape gardener. David Edward Leslie Hemmings (18 November 1941 – 3 December 2003) was an English actor and director. Manu Tupou (January 5, 1935 – June 5, 2004) was an American-based Fijian actor, writer, director, and teacher. Early life Manu Tupou was born on Lomaloma, Lau, Fiji Islands. Education Tupou trained as an actor for 15 years in New York under Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, Uta Hagen, Harold Clurman, and Sanford Meisner. Wilfred Nalani "Moe" Keale (December 3, 1939 – April 15, 2002) was an American musician of Hawaiian music, a ukulele virtuoso, and an actor. He was the uncle and major musical influence of Israel Kamakawiwoʻole. He died from a heart attack on 15 April 2002, aged 62.
