Hawaiian Aye Aye
''Hawaiian Aye Aye'' is a 1964 Warner Bros. ''Merrie Melodies'' animated short, directed by Gerry Chiniquy and written by Tedd Pierce and Bill Danch. The short was released on June 27, 1964, and stars Tweety and Sylvester the Cat, Sylvester. Sylvester and Tweety's voices are provided by Mel Blanc, while Tweety's owner Granny (Looney Tunes), Granny was voiced by June Foray. That was the final theatrical cartoon to feature the duo of Sylvester and Tweety together, and the last appearance of Tweety in a theatrical cartoon until ''Carrotblanca'' in 1995. It was also the last Merrie Melodies cartoon produced by the original Warner Bros. Cartoons studio before it closed down in 1963, as well as the last Merrie Melodies short to have the target titles and the last to use ''Merrily We Roll Along (song), Merrily We Roll Along'' at the beginning and end of the short The title was inspired by a TV series produced by Warner Bros. Gerry Chiniquy
Germain Adolph Chiniquy (pronounced "chin-a-KEE"; June 23, 1912 – November 22, 1989) was an American animator known for his work with Friz Freleng, at both Warner Bros. and DePatie-Freleng Enterprises. Chiniquy joined Freleng's animation team in the early 1940s. His work can best be seen in the many "dance numbers" that Freleng liked to use in his shorts. As crewmembers working on Golden Age Warner Brothers's cartoons were seldom credited, Chiniquy and the other animators would often add their names into the backgrounds of cartoons. Chiniquy's name can be seen in ''Bugs Bunny Rides Again'' (1948); look for "G. Chiniquy, Blacksmith" painted on a rooftop. Chiniquy also made a cameo appearance in the live action portion of ''You Ought to Be in Pictures'' (1940), as the director calling for "Quiet on the set!" After the original Warner Bros. ''Carrotblanca'' is a 1995 8-minute ''Looney Tunes'' cartoon. It was originally shown in theaters alongside ''The Amazing Panda Adventure'' (in North America) and ''The Pebble and the Penguin'' (internationally). It was subsequently released on video packaged with older ''Looney Tunes'' cartoons and was included in the special edition DVD, and later HD DVD and Blu-ray, releases of ''Casablanca (film), Casablanca'', the film to which it is both a parody and an Homage (arts), homage. At the time of release, WB did not own the rights to ''Casablanca'' (such rights were with Turner Entertainment – they still technically hold the film today, but WB became responsible for distribution a year after the short's release as a result of their Time Warner, parent company's purchase of Turner in 1996). Sylvester Pussycat, Sr. is a fictional character, an anthropomorphic Bicolor cat, tuxedo cat in the ''Looney Tunes'' and ''Merrie Melodies'' series of cartoons. Most of his appearances have him often chasing Tweety, Speedy Gonzales, or Hippety Hopper. He appeared in 103 cartoons in the golden age of American animation, lagging only behind superstars Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, and Daffy Duck. Muumuu
The muumuu or muumuu () is a loose dress of Hawaiian origin that hangs from the shoulder and is like a cross between a shirt and a robe. Like the aloha shirt, muumuu exports are often brilliantly colored with floral patterns of generic Polynesian motifs. Muumuus for local Hawaiian residents are more subdued in tone. Muumuus are no longer as widely worn at work as an aloha shirt, but continue to be the preferred formal dress for weddings and festivals such as the Merrie Monarch hula competition. Muumuus are also popular as maternity wear because they do not restrict the waist.
