Haven Coleman
Haven Coleman (born March 29, 2006) is an American climate and environmental activist. She is the co-founder and co-executive director of U.S. Youth Climate Strike with youth activists Alexandria Villaseñor and Isra Hirsi. an organization dedicated to raising awareness and catalyzing change concerning the climate crisis. Early life Haven Coleman was born in Denver, Colorado. She is a student of Denver Public Schools. Activism Coleman first felt the pull towards environmentalism when she was ten years old: after learning that her favorite animal, sloths, are diminishing due to deforestation. She then made significant lifestyle changes inspired by sustainable living. Her training at Climate Reality Project educated her further. After seeing the bold environmental activism of Greta Thunberg and youth climate strikes in Europe, she was inspired to do the same. Alexandria Villaseñor
Alexandria Villaseñor (born 2005) is an American climate activist living in New York. A follower of the Fridays for Future movement and of fellow climate activist Greta Thunberg, Villaseñor is a co-founder of U.S. Youth Climate Strike and the founder of Earth Uprising. Biography Villaseñor was born in 2005 in Davis, California, where she grew up. The family moved from northern California to New York in 2018. Villaseñor is Latina. Her ambition is to work for the United Nations. Activism Villaseñor's fight for climate action was sparked when she was caught in a smoke cloud from the November 2018 Camp Fire in California, the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California's history, while visiting her hometown for Thanksgiving. Cory Gardner
Cory Scott Gardner (born August 22, 1974) is an American attorney, lobbyist, and politician who served as a United States senator from Colorado from 2015 to 2021. A Republican, he was the U.S. representative for Colorado's 4th congressional district from 2011 to 2015 and a member of the Colorado House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Isra Hirsi (born February 22, 2003) is an American environmental activist. She co-founded and served as the co-executive director of the U.S. Youth Climate Strike. In 2020, she was named in the ''Fortune'''s 40 Under 40 Government and Politics list. She is the daughter of U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. Early life and activism Hirsi was born on 22 February 2003 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is the daughter of Somali American U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi. At the age of 12, she was one of the participants protesting for justice for Jamar Clark at the Mall of America. Hirsi attended Minneapolis South High School, from which she graduated in 2021.
