Haunted House
A haunted house, spook house or ghost house in ghostlore is a house or other building often perceived as being inhabited by disembodied spirits of the deceased who may have been former residents or were otherwise connected with the property. Parapsychologists often attribute haunting to the spirits of the dead who have suffered from violent or tragic events in the building's past such as murder, accidental death, or suicide. In a majority of cases, upon scientific investigation, alternative causes to supernatural phenomenon are found to be at fault, such as hoaxes, environmental effects, hallucinations or confirmation biases. Common symptoms of hauntings, like cold spots and creaking or knocking sounds, can be found in most homes regardless of suspected paranormal presences. People are more likely to experience a haunting when they are about to fall asleep, when waking, if they are intoxicated or sleep-deprived. Paul Hartnoll
Paul Hartnoll (born 19 May 1968) is one of two brothers (the other being Phil Hartnoll) who make up the electronic dance act Orbital. History Hartnoll played in a local band during the mid-1980s, Noddy and the Satellites, featuring clarinetist Duncan Walker. In 1987 Paul and his brother Phil began recording under the name Orbital with keyboards, a drum machine and a 4-track. Hartnoll's first brush with fame came when Orbital appeared on Top of the Pops on 22 March 1990. Speaking to The Guardian in December 2013 he explained this was a long way from his Sevenoaks roots. "A week before I was saying to the boss in the pizza place I was working, 'Ah I've just seen next week's rota. ''Haunted House'' is the third EP by the Australian electronic music duo Knife Party, released on 5 May 2013 by Earstorm Records and Big Beat Records. It was announced through their official Twitter page on 8 August 2012. Background On 16 April 2013, Knife Party announced on Twitter that they have replaced the track "Baghdad" with a 'VIP' Mix of Internet Friends. Knife Party premiered the official artwork for the EP on 27 April, on their Facebook page. The EP was made available to pre-order in the US on 27 April, with the confirmed release date of 6 May. The EP leaked on 29 April 2013, but the leaked version of "Power Glove" was erroneous because its sub bass was pitched down an octave too low. ''Size Isn't Everything'' is the twentieth studio album by the Bee Gees, released in the UK on 13 September 1993, and the US on 2 November of the same year. The brothers abandoned the contemporary dance feel of the previous album '' High Civilization'' and went for what they would describe as "A return to our sound before '' Saturday Night Fever''". Recording The album marked the Bee Gees's return to Polydor Records after their three-album contract with Warner Bros. Records. The album was recorded following a time of considerable strain for the Gibb brothers. Morris Eugene Simmons (July 10, 1937 – August 29, 2006), better known as Jumpin' Gene Simmons, was an American singer and songwriter best known for his 1964 novelty single "Haunted House". Biography Gene Simmons was born in Itawamba County, Mississippi, and began his recording career with Sun Records in 1956 a couple of years after performing as an opening act for former labelmate Elvis Presley. However, the label released only one (non-charting) single from his recording sessions. His first and only Top 40 hit was "Haunted House", a cover of a 1958 recording by Johnny Fuller, which peaked at No. 11 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in 1964 and No. 7 in Canada. Jan Michał Pieńkowski (8 August 1936 – 19 February 2022) was a Polish-born British author of children's books—as illustrator, as writer, and as designer of movable books. ''Which Witch?'' is a children's board game published in 1970 by the Milton Bradley Company, and was invented by Joseph M. Burck of Marvin Glass and Associates. The board represents a haunted house with four large rooms: the Broom Room, the Witchin' Kitchen, the Spell Cell and the Bat's Ballroom, assembled before play into a three-dimensional model house with vertical walls, and a large plastic chimney in the center. There are four tokens, colored red, yellow, blue and green. Each token is shaped like a child, either a boy or a girl, with four corresponding mouse tokens of identical color. In each turn, each player rolls a single die to determine movement distance along a tiled track through the rooms. Several tiles are "danger" squares because they are in the path of the game's "whammy ball", a steel ball dropped into the central chimney that falls randomly into one of the rooms.
