''Haunted People'' (german: Gehetzte Menschen) is a 1932 German-Czech drama film directed by Friedrich Feher and starring Magda Sonja, Hans Feher, and Eugen Klöpfer.Goble p. 775 It was shot at the Staaken Studios in Berlin and on location in Marseille. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Robert Neppach and Erwin Scharf. Friedrich Feher
Friedrich Feher (born Friedrich Weiß, 16 March 1889 – 30 September 1950) was an Austrian actor and film director. He first entered the film business in 1913, starting out as an actor but quickly gravitated toward directing. He is perhaps best remembered as Francis, the protagonist of '' The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari'' (1920). He directed ''The House Without Windows'' that same year (based on a book by Thea von Harbou), in which his art directors mimicked the Expressionist set designs of ''Caligari''; it is now considered a lost film. Feher died in 1950 in Stuttgart at age 61. Joseph Schmidt
Joseph Schmidt (4 March 1904 – 16 November 1942) was an Austro-Hungarian and Romanian Jewish tenor and actor. Life and career Schmidt was born in Davideny (Ukrainian: '' Davydivka'') village in the Storozhynets district of the Bukovina province of Austria-Hungary, which became part of Romania after World War I and is now part of Ukraine. In addition to German, which was his first language, and Yiddish, he learned Hebrew and became fluent in Romanian, French and English. His first vocal training was as a boy alto in the Czernowitz Synagogue. His talents were quickly recognised and by 1924 he was featured in his first solo recital in Czernowitz singing traditional Jewish songs and arias by Verdi, Puccini, Rossini and Bizet.
