Haukur Þrastarson
Haukur Þrastarson (born 14 April 2001) is an Icelandic handball player for Barlinek Industria Kielce and the Icelandic national team. He participated at the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship. Club career Haukur Þrastarson made his debut for his boyhood club Selfoss in the 2016/2017 season, when he was only 15 years old. After having won the Icelandic Championship with his boyhood club in 2019, Haukur signed with Polish giants Vive Kielce. Shortly after arriving in Poland, Haukur tore his ACL and was ruled out for the season. Despite his injury Haukur was rewarded with a contract extension by Kielce. International career Haukur was chosen the Most Valuable Player of the 2018 European Men's U-18 Handball Championship in Croatia when he helped Iceland's U-18 secure silver at the tournament. Selfoss (town)
Selfoss () is a town in southern Iceland on the banks of the Ölfusá river. It is the seat of the municipality of Árborg. The France national handball team is supervised by the French Handball Federation, and represents France in international matches. Aron Pálmarsson
Aron Pálmarsson (born 19 July 1990) is an Icelandic handball player for FH and the Icelandic national handball team. Career Aron played his first game for FH only aged 15 years old against ÍBV in March 2006. FH won the game 30–28 and the young player managed to score one goal. In the season 2007/08 Aron was one of the key players when FH won the 1.deild and won promotion to úrvalsdeild. Aron scored 130 goals in 22 games. The 2008/09 season was very successful for Aron. Aron scored 115 goals in 16 games. FH finished 5th in the league. He was voted the most promising player, the best offensive player and was selected in the team of the season. 2019 World Men's Handball Championship
The 2019 IHF World Men's Handball Championship was the 26th event hosted by the International Handball Federation and held in Denmark and Germany from 10 to 27 January 2019. It was the first IHF World Men's Handball Championship to include more than one host country. It was also the first time a unified Korean team participated. Denmark, in a clean sweep, won their first title by defeating Norway 31–22 in the final. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team.
