''Hathara Denama Soorayo'' ( si, හතරදෙනාම සූරයෝ, italic=yes) is a 1971 Sri Lankan Sinhala action romantic film directed and produced by Neil Rupasinghe for Samudra Films. The four protagonist roles are played by Gamini Fonseka, Vijaya Kumaratunga, Anthony C. Perera and Senadeera Rupasinghe in lead roles along with Malini Fonseka and Sriyani Amarasena. Music composed by P. L. A. Somapala. It is the 230th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. It is the first film in Sinhala cinema to be screened for 100 consecutive days in a single cinema hall. The film also witnessed as the first film in which Gamini Fonseka, Malini Fonseka and Vijaya Kumaratunga act together. Dharmasiri Gamage ( si, ධර්මසිරි ගමගේ) (4 October 1939 - 19 September 2004) was a journalist, poet, writer and film director. Biography Dharmasiri Gamage was born on 4 October 1939, the only son to Maththaka Gamage Peter Appuhamy and Kalegana Arachchige Chandrawathi and the eldest brother to three sisters. Journalism Gamage's journalism career was helped by ''U.A.A. Perera (Siri Aiya)'' Growing up, Gamage was interested in arts and literature and wanted to learn and practice journalism. For him, ''Maligakanda Maha Bodhi Mandiraya'' was an oasis and influence of ''Siri Aiya'' was a lamp-post that guided his future life. Pearl Vasudevi
Pearl Peters (born 30 March 1915 – died 19 June 1987 as පර්ල් වාසුදේවි) inhala, popularly as Pearl Vasudevi, was an actress in Sri Lankan cinema as well as a singer. Personal life Vasudevi was born as Pearl Peters in Galle on March 30, 1915 to a Burgher family. She studied at the Good Shepherd Convent, Colombo and became interested in theater at a young age. She was married to fellow actor Eddie Junior. The couple has one daughter, Sujeewa Lalee. Sujeewa also acted in few films including maiden acting in ''Sithijaya''. Vasudevi died 19 June 1987 at the age of 72 following a brief illness. Deshamanya Matharage Rita Genevieve Fernando, better known by her stage name Latha Walpola ( si, ලතා වල්පොල), is a prominent Sri Lankan vocal artist. Munasinghe Arachchilage Don Bandu (16 March 1936 – 5 February 2005 as බන්දු මුණසිංහ inhala, popularly as Bandu Munasinghe, was an actor, and stunt director of Sri Lankan cinema. Particularly acted in cinema in villain roles, Munasinghe was the first stunt director of the Sri Lankan silver screen. Personal life He was born on 16 March 1936 in Borella. He first studied at Hewavitharana College, Rajagiriya and his secondary education at Nalanda College, Colombo. He excelled as a boxer.
