Haste The Day
Haste the Day was an American metalcore band formed in Carmel, Indiana in 2001 and signed to Solid State Records. Their name is derived from a lyric in the hymn " It Is Well with My Soul" by Horatio Spafford. The band released an EP titled ''That They May Know You'', in 2002, followed by five studio albums: '' Burning Bridges'' (2004), '' When Everything Falls'' (2005), '' Pressure the Hinges'' (2007), '' Dreamer'' (2008), and ''Attack of the Wolf King'' (2010). The group disbanded in March 2011 but reformed in 2014 and released ''Coward'' in 2015. History Haste the Day formed in 2001 in Carmel, Indiana. The name was discovered by Devin Chaulk who read it from the hymn " It Is Well with My Soul." The band originally started out as a three-piece including: Brennan Chaulk (guitar/vocals), Devin Chaulk (drums/vocals), and Mike Murphy (bass/vocals). Attack Of The Wolf King
''Attack of the Wolf King'' is the fifth studio album from Haste the Day. The album was released on June 29, 2010 through Solid State Records. A song from the album, entitled "Travesty" was released on the band's MySpace on May 4. Lyrics for "Travesty" were released on May 21, 2010 on the band's Facebook. The song "Dog Like Vultures" has been played live since early April and debuted April 8 in Evansville, IN. This is the first album to feature new members, Dave Krysl, Giuseppe Capolupo, and Scott Whelan. On the CD's release day, the band played a show in Bloomington, IN, where they performed an extended setlist with all the former members of the band, playing songs from the ''That They May Know You'' EP through ''Attack of the Wolf King''. On June 8 the band released the song "Wake Up The Sun" on their Myspace. On August 10, 2010, CI Records released a 7-inch vinyl single of "Travesty" with two other tracks from the album. Stephen Keech
Stephen Keech is an American producer, songwriter, and composer living in Nashville, Tennessee. He spent his early years as the vocalist and songwriter for Solid State Records band Haste the Day. He was also the vocalist for New Day Awakening and is the current bassist for As Cities Burn. History In 2002, Keech started his musical career with the band New Day Awakening, for whom he provided vocals. The band recorded an EP, titled: ''Plague: Hysteria'' in 2005, but disbanded in 2006. In 2007, Keech was asked to join Haste the Day after original vocalist Jimmy Ryan left the band. Keech's previous band had toured with Haste the Day before. The band recorded a Split EP with From Autumn to Ashes, titled ''Stitches/Deth Kult Social Club'' in 2007, before recording Keech's HTD debut, '' Pressure the Hinges''. ''Dreamer'' is the fourth studio album by Christian metalcore band Haste the Day. The album was released on October 14, 2008 through Solid State Records. A song from the album, entitled "68" was released on the band's MySpace on August 1. A second new song, the second track off the album entitled "Mad Man," was made available for download on iTunes September 9. The third song Haste the Day has announced the release of is "Haunting," which was posted on the band's Myspace on September 6, 2008. The final track on the album, "Autumn" is originally from Haste the Day's first release ''That They May Know You.'' They released a music video for the song Mad Man on February 24, 2009. Andrew Schwab is the lead singer for the band Project 86. He is also a graphic designer, calligrapher, author, and hosts Pioneers Podcast: Finding Your Creative Voice. Project 86 In 1996, Schwab formed Project 86 with, Matt Hernandez, Ethan Luck, and Randy Torres and recorded a Demo. Trenches is a Christian metal band, formed by Haste the Day vocalist, Jimmy Ryan. The band announced their hiatus in 2010 before getting back together in early 2012. Background Jimmy Ryan, a member of Haste the Day, at the time, decided to depart the band, when they were in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 30, 2005, doing a concert, where he is a native of the city.
