Hasselt – Maastricht Tramway
The Hasselt – Maastricht tramway (Dutch language, Dutch: ''Sneltram Hasselt - Maastricht'') was a proposed fast tram system linking Hasselt, Limburg (Belgium), Belgian province of Limburg and Maastricht, Limburg (Netherlands), Dutch province of Limburg. The project was part of the ''Spartacusplan'' of Belgian Limburg, proposed by the Belgian transport company De Lijn, with the aim of improving the province's transport links. The tramway's opening was originally scheduled for 2017, then postponed until 2025. It was finally cancelled on 10 June 2022 in favour of an electric "trambus". One factor in the project's cancellation was that in order for the tram to reach Maastricht railway station, Maastricht station, the Sint Servaasbrug over the Meuse, Maas would have needed to be strengthened. The flag of Limburg (Netherlands), Dutch Limburg is a flag with the height:width ratio of 2:3. It consists of 3 rows of colors in a size ratio of 2:1:2. The colors used are (from top to bottom) white, blue and gold (yellow). 
In the flag there is a symbol of the red Limburgian lion with a double tail, facing the flagpole. The smaller blue middle row is symbolizing the river Meuse.
This flag is not used in Belgian Limburg, which has its own, different, flag.

Hasselt railway station ( nl, Station Hasselt, french: Gare d'Hasselt), officially Hasselt, is a railway station in Hasselt, Limburg, Belgium. The station opened on 24 October 1843 and it is located at 21 Stationsplein (Station Square). It is served by railway lines 15, 21, 21A, 34 and 35. Eigenbilzen Tram Stop
Eigenbilzen is a village and former municipality in the Bilzen municipality of the Limburg province in the Flemish Community of Belgium. Eigenbilzen was an independent municipality until 1977 when it merged into Bilzen. History The village was first mentioned in 1096 as Eigenbilesen. Prehistoric and Roman remains have been discovered in the area. In 1871 a tumulus was discovered at the Kannesberg which dated from 400 B.C. Furthermore three Roman villas, and a Roman cemetery were discovered. The Roman road connecting Tongeren to Maastricht used to pass through the village. was built in 1423. In 1680, the family of de Heusch de Zangerye became manor of the village, and resided in the castle. The castle was torn down in the early 19th century. Diepenbeek Railway Station
Diepenbeek railway station is a railway stop on the Hasselt–Liège railway in the Belgian municipality of Diepenbeek. The station was opened in 1856 along the new railway line between Hasselt and Maastricht. In the end of the 1950s, the station lost importance and was closed. After the Limburg University Center was established near the former station in 1973, there was an increasing demand from students to reopen the station. This finally happened in 1991, when a stop was opened at the site of the former station. In the context of the Spartacus plan, all level crossings in Diepenbeek will be removed, including the one in Stationsstraat. They will be replaced by passenger underpasses. Diepenbeek (; li, Diepenbik) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg near Hasselt. On January 1, 2012, Diepenbeek had a total population of 18,337.
