Hassane Azzoun

	Hassane Azzoun Hassane Azzoun ( ar, حسان عزوننير بن أمادي; born September 28, 1979) is an Algerian judoka, who played for the half-heavyweight category. He is a six-time medalist at the African Judo Championships, and also, a bronze medalist for his division at the 2007 All-Africa Games in Algiers. At age twenty-nine, Azzoun made his official debut for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's half-heavyweight class (100 kg). He lost his first preliminary match by an ippon and a sode tsurikomi goshi (sleeve lifting and pulling hip throw) to Azerbaijan's Movlud Miraliyev. Because his opponent advanced further into the semi-finals, Azzoun offered another shot for the bronze medal by entering the repechage rounds. He was defeated in his first match by Georgia's Levan Zhorzholiani, who successfully scored an ippon and a kuzure kami shiho gatame is one of the seven mat holds, Osaekomi-waza, of Kodokan Judo, a variation of Kami shiho gatame. 	Sode Tsurikomi Goshi is a Judo throw and one of the techniques adopted by the Kodokan into their Shinmeisho No Waza (newly accepted techniques) list. It is categorized as a hip technique, or Koshi-waza. Sode Tsurikomi Goshi translates as sleeve lifting pulling hip throw. Technique Description Sode Tsuri Komi Goshi is a hip throw used in Judo. It is performed by taking a grip on both opponents sleeves, holding one high above the head—the right one when done right-handed—turning in to face the same direction as the opponent, and pulling them over the hips. 	Kuzure Kami Shiho Gatame is one of the seven mat holds, Osaekomi-waza, of Kodokan Judo, a variation of Kami shiho gatame. In grappling terms, it is categorized as a north-south hold. Technique description Executing the Kuzure-kami-shiho-gatame is similar to Kami shiho gatame, which involves pinning the opponent's arms to his or her side, typically by grabbing the opponent's belt and using the arms to press the arms of the opponent inwards. The difference between the two is instead of one or both arms of the opponent being pinned to the side, they are controlled for instance by pinning them in between an upper arm and a knee.
