Hass Refugee Camp Bombing
The Hass refugee camp bombing was an aerial bombardment of a refugee camp in the Syrian opposition-held town of Hass in the Idlib Governorate of Syria, which has been deemed a war crime by Human Rights Watch. It was perpetrated on 16 August 2019, at 7:25 p.m. local time, during the Syrian Civil War. The bombing killed 20 civilians, including a pregnant woman, and injured another 52 people. The refugee camp was located outside the town, eight miles from the nearest front line, and there were no military targets nearby. Later analysis confirmed that the bombing was perpetrated by a bomber jet of the Russian Federation. Two Russian Sukhoi Su-24 war planes departed the Khmeimim Air Base on that day, at 7:02 p.m., and were then circling the area. Kamuna Refugee Camp Massacre
The Kamuna refugee camp massacre, also known as al-Kamouna refugee camp massacre or the Sarmada camp air strike, occurred on 5 May 2016, during the Syrian civil war. The camp was close to the Turkish border, in Idlib province about west of Aleppo. Between 28 and 30 people were killed in the Kamuna refugee camp near Sarmada, northern Syria, initially reported to be by bombing from warplanes. Children were among the killed. The attack came during the truce negotiations between the warring factions. Witnesses state that the camp was struck twice, causing many tents to be set on fire. The Atarib market massacre, Atarib market bombings or 2017 Atarib airstrike were three aerial bombing of cities, aerial bombardments on a marketplace in the Syrian rebels, Syrian rebel-held town of Atarib in the Aleppo Governorate of Syria perpetrated on 13 November 2017, during the Syrian Civil War. These airstrikes hit a commercial street with a market and a police station. The bombings killed 84 civilians, including six women and five children, and injured another 150 people. Armanaz Massacre
On 29 September 2017, aircraft attacked Armanaz and killed at least 35 people, including at least 3 children, according to 5 witnesses and photos and video footage analyzed by Human Rights Watch. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the death toll included 8 children and 8 women. Prelude The Syrian and Russian air forces carried out several attacks which hit civilian targets in the days prior to this one, killing 18 people in Qalaat al-Madiq on September 20 and 19 people, including at least 2 children, in Jisr al-Shughur on September 25.
