Amira Hass ( he, עמירה הס; born 28 June 1956) is an Israeli journalist and author, mostly known for her columns in the daily newspaper ''Haaretz'' covering Palestinian affairs in the West Bank and Gaza, where she has lived for almost thirty years. Biography The daughter of two Holocaust survivors, Hass is the only child of a Bosnian-born Sephardic Jewish mother, who survived nine months in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, and a Romanian-born Ashkenazi Jewish father. Hass was born in Jerusalem and educated at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she studied the history of Nazism and the European Left's relation to the Holocaust. Walter Hass
Walter L. Hass (October 7, 1911 – September 13, 1987) was an American football coach and athletic director. He served in both capacities at the University of Chicago. Hass was also the athletic director and head football coach at Carleton College, head coach at Hibbing Community College, and freshman team coach at his alma mater, the University of Minnesota. College career Hass attended the University of Minnesota, where he played football as a halfback. Hass earned three varsity letters from 1930 to 1932 and served as team captain. During his time on the team, he played under three different head coaches: Clarence Spears, Fritz Crisler, and Bernie Bierman. All three were eventually elected to the College Football Hall of Fame. Hass graduated from Minnesota in 1934.

Steve Hass (born May 11, 1975) is an American drummer based in Los Angeles. Originally from Island Park, New York, born to Greek immigrant parents from Athens. He is notable for his technical skill, time feel, and his musical versatility, having played with many artists from a wide variety of genres. Career After attending Berklee College of Music on scholarship from 1993–1996 Steve was asked to join the Ravi Coltrane Quartet. He toured and recorded with the band from 1996 to 2002. The music was a mixture of traditional jazz, funk, and odd meter fusion. During this time Steve was also a studio drummer in New York City playing on dozens of national jingles, record dates, television shows, and movie soundtracks. He was also a member of Ruben Wilson's "Masters Of Groove" where he shared the drum chair with the legendary Bernard Purdie. Rudolph Gustav Hass (June 5, 1892 - October 24, 1952) was an American mail carrier and amateur horticulturist who first grew the Hass avocado, the source of 95% of California avocados grown commercially today. Life before 1925 Rudolph Gustav Hass was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 5, 1892 to Henry C. Hass and Alma F. Hass (née Zergman). Known as Rudie, Hass quit school after finishing 10th grade at age 15 and went to work. Hass met Elizabeth Schuette in 1918 at a July church picnic. He was involved in a mission working with children on weekends and asked Elizabeth if she could play the piano for his ministry at the mission. She agreed and thus their courtship began. Mike Hass
Mike Hass (born January 2, 1983) is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Oregon State. He was inducted to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2022. Hass has also played for the Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks and Omaha Nighthawks. Eric Hass (March 4, 1905 – October 2, 1980) was a four-time Socialist Labor candidate for President of the United States. Life Hass was of German and Danish ancestry, and was born in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1905. He died of a heart attack in Community Hospital, Santa Rosa, California on October 2, 1980. State elections In 1942, he ran for New York State Attorney General. In 1944, he ran for U.S. Senator from New York. In 1950, 1958 and 1962, he ran for Governor of New York.
