Hasan Ali Nejabat Shirazi
Ayatollah Hajj Sheykh Hasan Ali Nejabat Shirazi (1917-1989) was an Iranian mystic, author of several published theological works, and political activist. Early life and education He was born in 1917 at Shiraz, Iran. He passed preliminary and advanced courses in Shiraz and Najaf under supervision of masters. He was trained under supervision of grand Masters, including Ayatollah Sayyid Mirza Ali Tabatabaei, Sheykh Muhammad Javad Ansari, Sheykh Muhammad Ali Boroujerd, Sayyed Abul Hasan Esfahani, Sayyed Abdul hadi Shirazi, and Sayyed Abul Qasem Khoei. Political and scientific activity He established the religious school by the name of his son, "Shahid Mohammad Hossein Nejabat". Islamic Revolution Of Iran
The Iranian Revolution ( fa, انقلاب ایران, Enqelâb-e Irân, ), also known as the Islamic Revolution ( fa, انقلاب اسلامی, Enqelâb-e Eslâmī), was a series of events that culminated in the overthrow of the Pahlavi dynasty under Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and the replacement of his government with an Islamic republic under the rule of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, a leader of one of the factions in the revolt. Imam Ali Al-Naghi
Imam (; ar, إمام '; plural: ') is an Islamic leadership position. For Sunni Muslims, Imam is most commonly used as the title of a worship leader of a mosque. In this context, imams may lead Islamic worship services, lead prayers, serve as community leaders, and provide religious guidance. Thus for Sunnis, anyone can study the basic Islamic sciences and become an Imam. For most Shia Muslims, the Imams are absolute infallible leaders of the Islamic community after the Prophet. Shias consider the term to be only applicable to the members and descendents of the ''Ahl al-Bayt'', the family of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. In Twelver Shiasm there are 14 infallibles, 12 of which are Imams, the final being Imam Mahdi who will return at the end of times. Abdol Hossein Dastgheib
Abdol Hossein Dastgheib (8 December 1913 -11 December 1981). He was appointed as Imam of Friday Prayer and one of the representatives of the Supreme Leader in Shiraz. He was a Mujtahidd, expert in Arabic language, theology, revealed texts, and the principles of jurisprudence (Usul al-fiqh). He was killed by the People's Mujahedin of Iran. Biography Dastgheib's father Seyed Mohammad Taqi, who taught elementary education, died when he was 11 or 12 years old. He continued his education after the death his father in Shiraz, then continued his education in Najaf. After returning to Iran, he commenced serious political activities. Najaf
Najaf ( ar, ٱلنَّجَف) or An-Najaf al-Ashraf ( ar, ٱلنَّجَف ٱلْأَشْرَف), also known as Baniqia ( ar, بَانِيقِيَا), is a city in central Iraq about 160 km (100 mi) south of Baghdad. Its estimated population in 2013 was 1,000,000 people. It is the capital of Najaf Governorate. It is widely considered amongst the holiest cities of Shia Islam and one of its spiritual capitals, whilst also remaining the center of Shia political power in Iraq. Name According to Ibn al-Manzur, the word, "najaf" (), literally means a high and rectangular place around which water is accumulated, although the water does not go above its level. Ayatollah ( ; fa, آیتالله, āyatollāh) is an Title of honor, honorific title for high-ranking Twelver Shia clergy in Iran and Iraq that came into widespread usage in the 20th century. Etymology The title is originally derived from Arabic word pre-modified with the definite article and Grammatical modifier#Premodifiers and postmodifiers, post-modified with the word ''Allah'', making ( ar, آية الله). The combination has been translated to English as 'Sign of God', 'Divine Sign' or 'Reflection of God'.
