Harvey Alfred Miller (October 19, 1928, Sturgis, Michigan – January 7, 2020, Palm Bay, Florida) was an American botanist, specializing in Pacific Islands bryophytes. Biography After graduating from Sturgis High School in 1946, Miller matriculated at the University of Michigan, where he graduated in 1950 with a B.S. in botany. He graduated in botany in 1952 from the University of Hawaiʻi with an M.S. and in 1957 from Stanford University with a Ph.D. As a postdoc he was an instructor at the University of Massachusetts. During the 1950s and until 1967 he was on the faculty of Ohio's Miami University, where he achieved the rank of associate professor. In 1968 he was a professor at Washington State University, where he became chair of the botany department. He later became professor and chair at Florida Technological University (which in 1978 was renamed the University of Central Florida). Harvey Miller (1925–2008) was a British publisher, who took over as director of the Phaidon Press on the death of his father-in-law, Béla Horovitz, in 1955. He was born in the East End of London as the son of Fanny and Barnet Miller, and the second of four children. They all moved to Tel Aviv when he was eight, and ran the Yarkon Hotel there. Miller won an open scholarship to St Catharine's College, Cambridge, from where he graduated in 1945 with a bachelor's degree in natural sciences. In 1949, he married Elly Horowitz, the daughter of the publisher Béla Horovitz, co-founder of the Phaidon Press, and took over as its director in 1955 on the death of his father-in-law. He founded Harvey Miller Publishers with his wife in 1968. Today Harvey Miller Publishers is an imprint of Brepols Brepols is a Belgian publishing house. Besides its printing business, Brepols is also active as a publisher. Formerly well known for its missals, the company is now better known for its specialization in historical studies and editions of classical authors, including the Corpus Christianorum. History In 1795, Pieter Corbeels, a printer from Leuven, moved to Turnhout together with his assistant Philippus Jacobus Brepols, possibly to flee the French army, which occupied Belgium at that time. Corbeels rapidly became the town printer, and he printed passports and pamphlets for the city of Turnhout. In the summer of 1798, Corbeels went to fight against the French as one of the leaders of the ‘’ Boerenkrijg’’. He was caught and executed. Harvey Skolnik (June 15, 1935 – January 8, 1999) was an American actor, director, producer and screenwriter. He was nominated for an Academy Award in the category Best Original Screenplay for the film '' Private Benjamin''. He also was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards in the category Outstanding Comedy Series for his work on ''The Odd Couple'' and ''Love, American Style''. The Caddy
''The Caddy'' is a 1953 American semi-musical-comedy-sports film starring the comedy team of Martin and Lewis. It is noteworthy for Dean Martin introducing the hit song "That's Amore". Plot Harvey Miller, whose father was a famous golf pro, is expected to follow in his footsteps, but Harvey is afraid of crowds. Instead, at the advice of his fiancée Lisa, Harvey becomes a golf instructor. Lisa's brother Joe becomes Harvey's first client and becomes good enough to start playing in tournaments, with Harvey tagging along as his caddie. They encounter a wealthy socialite who Joe wins over. Joe's success goes to his head and he begins to treat Harvey poorly.
