Harvey Marlatt
Harvey Marlatt (born August 26, 1948) is a former professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons from 1970-1972. He played in 61 games as a Piston and scored 225 points. Before joining the Pistons, he played basketball for Eastern Michigan University. Marlatt ranks fifth on the all time EMU scoring list with 1680 points scored. He was inducted into the EMU Sports Hall of Fame in 1979. Marlatt is the lowest drafted player (in terms of selection number) to have ever played in the NBA. Alpena ( ') is the only city in and county seat of Alpena County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 10,483 at the 2010 census. After Traverse City, it is the second most populated city in the Northern Michigan region. The city is surrounded by Alpena Township, but the two are administered autonomously. The Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball team represents Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The team currently competes in the West division of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). They have appeared in four NCAA Division I tournaments and have a 3–4 record, tied for third best among Michigan colleges.
